I like the wreath on the door.
Wish I had some white coneflowers.
I only have purple ones.
My moss rose plants are still doing ok in
spite of our heat.

Jeanne, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the ole' rustic look and my first look at this made me think: "Oh wow, that is sooooooooooo pretty!!!" I love everything about it. The frame your DH put on it makes it even more pretty, the wreath around the sun stepping stone, the rustic star, it's awesome. The flower basket is fantastic, what a great idea!!! Come and make one for my gardens please.

How pretty, isn't it wonderful to be able to find a beautiful view anywhere you look in your gardens? I love the wreath around the sun, and the tin stars. Is that a plant basket made from old fencing? Because I like that,too! I'd give anything to have nice views, but I have to share my yard with a guy who has a transmission in the drive, if only he'd finish the "barn"..so we could clean up the yard and spare bedrooms......HA!! I could have a place to create, and be able to buy even more junque :)

Jeanne - love your ideas! I love a picket fence with flowers planted next to it (I don't have that, Yet!) but that can't compare to your barn doors - beautiful! If you have more, please post - they're great!

I love the old wood look too. We fenced my garden area with old barnwood that was given to us by a friend. It turned out to be MUCH prettier than the new fence we put up that cost us over $700!!

I have purple cone flowers too, but have not seen white. Please post a picture when they open so we can see what they look like. I bet they are very pretty.

The basket is purchased and I am always ont he lookout for wire baskets to use on barn doors...they are too expensive to buy these knock-offs. I don't think I could make them out of fencing myself...but it is a good idea!

Old hinges always add alot to the doors...very rustic looking, which I like. I will post a pic of the white coneflowers when they bloom...I don't have real good luck with them...but love purple coneflowers, as you sherril.

This door I posted before...made it for my DD ...used a freezer basket and added corkscrew willow and mum ...this pic shows it at her farmhouse. Jeanne S.

marlene - My secret for finding barn doors is my s-i-l who is a farmer (and collects junk for me!)...and we keep our eyes open for anyone tearing down bldgs. They are too expensive to buy at antiques or ts, usually. Jeanne S.
