Good reusable and refillable hose end sprayer ?

I'm looking for a reusable sprayer you can attach to the end of a hose or another similar device that dilutes the intended liquid, beit fertilizer herbicide insecticide repellent etc. Preferably it should hold alot of liquid, like at least one gallon, but anything down to 32 oz is fine. Also if there's a way to adjust dilution levels and adjust the spray pattern and water pressure, that would be very good as well.

I bought one of those cheapo hose fertilizer applicators with the intention of reusing it but it broke on me :(. Also, alot of it kept on spraying on my hands and face, which makes me very very nervous.

Okay, while no one was looking *smirk*, I did some quick research and found three types of products that might be good, I might get all three for different purposes. One is the Gilmour Air-o-matic hose end sprayer, adjustable dial for dilutions (16 different kinds, from one to ten tsp per gallon) and a hose sprayer squeeze handle at the end. I'm not sure how much it holds but it seems pretty good. Internet searches turn up with several different kinds ranging from 15-25 dollars.

Then there are those generic spray air pumps you get at your local gardening or hardware store. And there are also "syphonex" applicators that go directly between the faucet and hose and apply the liquid to the water stream as it flows. Perhaps I might use the former for teas that can't come in contact with chlorinated water or smaller weeding applications, and the latter for larger applications like with fertilizer mixes.

I have this one linked. I'm more than happy with it. You can use it with any kind of concentrated liquid that you will apply to you lawn, but the nice part is if you don't compeltely use it all you can pour it back in the original container because it hasn't mixed with any water yet. I've saved a ton of money on different liquid pesticides, herbicides, ferts, etc. this way.

BTW, for most applications that I use I can set it on 2oz for most of them...no heavy brain work either. Fill it up and go.

The hose end sprayer is made to mix in powdered ferts like miracle grow. It has a shower head on it, I purchased it to spray tea. I put the tea in and it didnt even make it 3 feet. lol I tried it empty with the same results. I am on city water and I use a 50 or 75 foot hose depending on the front or back yard. It is not a flat hose. Precoiled? I coil it when I am not using it, I am not sure what you mean by precoiled. Sorry for sounding ignorant on that one. I will go out and buy a different one to see if it is the sprayer, but we really dont have the greatest water pressure anywhere else in the house. Can you put one of those pressure boosters on if you have city water? Carey

I have a new Ortho sprayer with three different settings. I love it. My old generic sprayer was a mess. It sent more water down my arm than out the nozzel. Look around the HD garden area. They usually have a couple different types.

Thanks for that info. I hadn't seen this one before, although I've used other hose-end sprayers. Do you use the same source for purchasing just the jars? Don't ya just love it when a company stands by their product? It's become so rare that when it does happen it inspires a celebration! I've felt that way recently too, although unrelated to gardening products. My kitten destroyed the wires on my new Altec Lansing speakers I got for my computer. I called them expecting to pay for replacements and they sent them free of charge! Maybe it was my genuine appreciation for their product that created the goodwill (very good quality sound for a low end product) or perhaps that's just standard practice for them. Same with Calphalon pots and pans. They'll replace something (and even send an improved and more expensive replacement) with no questions asked. Such a nice feeling and creates loyalty.
