Beggining a Peace Lilly

Hello everyone,

I have just bought a Peace Lilly from the garden centre as I know its perfect for filtering the air and I want a nice plant and what better plant than one that keeps the sir fresh.

I have read most of the post's, but still have a few questions.

I bought a pot with no holes in the bottom, can I get away with this? Can I put stones or something in the bottom of the soil, will this be enough drainage? If not I can drill holes in and get a plate.

The ticket that comes with it says to remove flowers when finished. Can any one shed some more light about the flowering of this plant. Do flowers grow all the time? When do I remove the flowers?

I have seen mention of perlite, do I need to mix this into my soil?

My plant will be in a large north facing bay window so I think that is perfect, but to one side will be a radiator will this be okay?

I also want to keep it a manageable size, can I trim it as usual to keep it under control?

Thank you all so much, happy holidays!
