A friend of mine is the maintenance director at the local HS. He ordered it for me. So hard to get these ingredients in NY!

I had a good chuckle reading this thread. :-) Winter I can definitely wait for...Christmas!!?? No...please, it's bad enough when they are playing Christmas carols in the stores at Halloween, let along gardeners on the GW forums wishing it were here in September! lol Fall has always been my favorite time of year. Now, it's a toss up between spring and fall. I really enjoy the change in season. We tried moving to the South once and stayed for 9 months. We moved back home. We really missed the seasons, more than we thought we would. Like dtd, I also don't want a greenhouse,or to be gardening all year. I enjoy the break when nothing has to be tended to outside and I can think about something else besides being totally immersed in gardening. [g] This year, I am particularly ready to be finished with the yard. It has been so dry and the yard just doesn't look as good as it usually would at this time of year. We still have a lot to do before we are finished for the year though. I will be glad to cover up some of the mess out there and start fresh next year. Don't you think it has a bit of a melancholy feel though, this time of year? There's just something about the different light in the fall. The way it is dark earlier maybe? So different than the excitement of spring returning. pm2

Wow Celeste!! Soooo beautiful!! All your hard work really shows. So glad to finally see some pics of your beauties this year. Your roses and gardens are always stunning. Never can get enough of them. I know the meaning of outta control!! My husband tells me that quite frequently. hahaha! I took a few years off from buying lilies when I found this forum looking at roses. Then last year I looked at the lily forum alot and went wild myself ordering new daylilies. I love allllll my new babies but have been soooo lazy this year and haven't posted any pics. Its so funny how yours are really getting started and mine are almost coming to an end. boooo hooooo!! I am going to look for some more late bloomers in hopes of extending my bloom time. I don't really see alot reblooming like lots of folks on here do but when I do I get ecstatic. My roses are starting to vamp back up though, despite the deering nibbling here and there, so now I will be focusing on them. Always something though isn't it! I have decided no more roses, unless their purple. I went wild getting lots of purple daylilies so that should feed my fix for a while! lol! So glad everything is doing great for you but I knew it would. Now, go download us some more!! See ya, Judy

I really don't want to be a whiner! I went out to mine 3 times today just to see WHAT was getting done. To GC's credit, he's busting his hump finishing all HIS stuff. The marble guy was there all day long and all he got done was the tub surround. Not sure if he OD'd on turkey, or what, but he's moving a little slow. Okay, so kel, on the bright side, I think I mentioned this before--we must believe that WHEN all the subs do as they should, that things will happen very quickly. Honestly, if you think about it, most subs like plumbers, electricians, really only need a few days to do their thing. SO, if all the stars align and the planets are in their houses...OR WHATEVER!!!!!!!! HAHA! I told DH I think the thing that really upsets me is I don't like being lied to. I don't appreciate subs making up excuses for why they didn't do their job when they were supposed to do it. If you ain't coming, just say, "I ain't coming". Don't make up some lame excuse why! UGH. I also have slowly, but surely, figured out that if a sub should be at your house and he's not, he sure enough isn't going to answer the phone! My build really has been okay up until now. I have found the whole process pretty gratifying, actually. But now that we're down to the wire, we just don't have the luxury of take our sweet time to do things and I'm exhausted. Living in chaos is such a drain and I'm ready for things to calm down and get back to boring ol' family life! I will say a prayer for all of us and hopefully sleep tonight, knowing that tomorrow is another day...full of promises.
