Spring is nearly here and with its arrival comes longer days, the return of barbecuing outdoors and the opportunity to host dinner parties under the stars. Here are a few of my favorite finds in fresh, spring colors and a few of my outdoor entertaining must-haves for every hostess. — Morgan from Pepper Design Blog
I love the beautiful illustration on this plate and would pair it with a mustard yellow, kelly green or peacock blue dinner plate for a dinner party or luncheon. This adorable piece could work as both a salad or dessert plate.
Melamine is a great way to glam up outdoor barbecues. When purchasing melamine dinnerware, I suggest sticking with a solid color and spicing up different events with patterned napkins and tablecloths.
I love these chargers. The rattan is so versatile and easy to match with any dinner party table setting. The neutral color would happily pair with a simple table runner in lieu of a tablecloth.
The transparent green handle on this set of flatware adds a playful statement to a modern family's kitchen. The jelly or rubberized stems are a fun alternative to your everyday table setting!
These wine glasses are a beautiful alternative to your usual clear glass version. The subtle blue is stunning! I imagine they look like a lovely piece of art lined up on a bar shelf.
I am a huge fan of these watercolor juice glasses. I love the bright, cheery colors, be it for OJ in the morning or water glasses at a dinner party. The subtle spiral is a beautiful detail and shouts of spring!
I love a bright and cheery napkin! What an instant way to light up a table, indoor or out. The modern floral outline is refreshing and pretty and the bright color pairs nicely with a spring or summer palette.
A classic linen placemat is a really great way to build a tablescape — incorporate a variety of colors and style through various layers and use for events again and again. I love the pleated detail!
This simple Queen Anne table runner boasts a playful and modern print in a neutral green and white. It would look lovely year-round, but is especially perfect for the coming of spring.
The hints of green, almost as if it's peeking out at you, and unique shape are what initially drew me to this vase. I love the contrast of the bright white ceramic and the bright green glaze within. It would make a lovely centerpiece vase for a fresh bouquet of spring flowers! A trio lined up down the center of a table would be divine.
The rustic feel of this table adds a vintage vibe to a room and the price is amazing for a table that would easily hold eight. I would pair a farmhouse table such as this one with bistro or Parisian side chairs in saturated colors.
These side chairs are a fun way to introduce color into a breakfast nook or dining space. I love the daring fuchsia, but this green is a bright and bold color that falls within my color safety net.
I love the color palette and playful designs of these Jonathan Adler coasters. I would let them play double duty as appetizer plates or coffee cup saucers to add a little variety when entertaining.
Gardening is a cheery chore with a sunshine-yellow watering can! I would leave this guy in full view on the patio as a helpful reminder to give my blooming plants some love.
I love the pastel purple of this terracotta pot. It's a beautiful way to bring bright colors onto the patio or front porch long before the first blossoms of spring reveal themselves.
The bright and bold pattern on this pillow makes it an attractive addition. Love the plum and sage color palette! The easiest way to mix up a room is by adding new throw pillows with a palette or design for the season — even on outdoor furniture and benches.
Opt for flameless candles for an outdoor dinner party tablesetting to add the perfect glow for your guests. I love the natural look and soft flicker of these votives. Plus, no fire risk? That's a great investment.
Stay toasty warm this summer with an outdoor fire pit and one that's quite attractive too. I can't think of a better way to end an outdoor dinner party than with s'mores kits, soft blankets and good fireside conversation.
Nothing says spring quite like the comeback of outdoor grilling. Identify your dinner with rare, medium and well branding tools for easy organization at an outdoor party.
Set the mood outdoors with playfully hung string lights for a dinner party under the stars or barbecuing in the evening. I love these little lanterns. The modern shape and oil-rubbed bronze color gives them quite the modern glow!
