My first guess is Elephant Heart and second guess is Satsuma. The top one has a heart shape like EH; Satsumas generally do not have that shape. But the bottom one is not heart-shaped. It looks like they are not quite ripe yet.

Where are you? My Satsumas are just ripening now and if you are in the south bay of San Francisco, I think that would rule out Satsuma unless you took the pictures several weeks ago. Elephant Heart ripens later and I think the timing of that one is right. There are many other plums it could be but assuming you are in California these two are very popular so are the most likely red-fleshed plums.

I have a tree with the same fruit, I am told it is Pluot, the birds got to it before we did.

Actually, all of them is heart-shaped. I'm in SF bay area and the tree is growing that fruit like crazy right now, so I think satsuma is ruled out and Elephant heart in the pictures I found on the internet seems exactly like the plums in my backyard.

I also checked some pictures of Pluot and found some of them resembled mine as well, but the color inside Pluot was light red or deep magenta, though mine is bloody red inside.

I don't know of a heart-shaped pluot so I think its Elephant Heart. Its a great plum, let them ripen on the tree for best taste.
