OK I have been working on this bowling ball what seems like FOREVER! and a few other projects.

The wicker chair and bench is awesome. That bowling ball turned out wonderful!! And I love the stand.

Your wicker finds are perfect. The BB looks like it's already found a home. Your plants seem to be doing good out in the sun light.

Thanks for letting me know those are Flor tiles, Sue! Even better! They would likely work better than the rug I have in my kitchen because the ends of the rug are bulky and get in the way of the trash compactor opening. I have been having a hard time finding the right long rug for the hallway that will run from our front door to the mudroom, too. I will have to keep an eye out for good deals on flor tiles while we do that part of our remodel. I have been really enjoying the home decor forum here now that our kitchen is mostly done, and we will be starting on the rest of the house this spring. We just got cafe curtains hung in the kitchen and dining room today, so it was nice to see your curtains, too. Just enough for privacy, but still lets the light in...

Thanks, the only problem with inventory check is that they barcoded *all* the fabric the same, so someone has to physically go look at what they have and try to figure out if it's what I'm talking about (if I could email a picture it would help but no one's suggested that). I *did* call the 3 stores closest to us, 1 said maybe (but DH didn't see any), 1 said they thought they had 2 pieces and would hold them for me but didn't, the last one wouldn't even try to check but DH is heading there today. I wasn't feeling well enough yesterday to call the main office, but I will on Monday and ask where they got their fabric from - if it's not multiple sources I may be able to go to the original store/manufacturer and find the rest. Or, it may have been discontinued and I'm out of luck :-( I'm feeling normal - actually had a bagel with margarine for breakfast! Though I'm not brave enough for coffee. Lost 4 pounds in 24 hrs - not the kind of diet I want to recommend though. DS still has some lingering effects, he's sticking to dry toast. DD is acting fine (which is why she went to swim lessons) but I gave her a bath before I got sick, she must have lost a bt b/c she seems skinny, I mentioned it to DH and he said her eyes are still sunken and dark circles under *and* over so he was trying to push fluids on her. At least she got her appetite back - ate banana, strawberries, grapes and some turkey yesterday though I told him no cheese or milk. She wanted kielbasa last night with him, wisely he told her no.

Gail, you are doing a wonderful job on your projects. I sometimes forget to come over here and look in the gallery. I did a couple of chairs some time ago, one was a dainty antique chair with the caning messed up. So I made it into a plant chair for my front porch. Always got nice compliments on it but haven't done another one. You said your husband always sees you with your paint brush in hand. Mine too. I have gone to bed with brushes in my hair (a habit of sticking one where ever it will hold). My husband says when I die he will stick a few brushes in the casket with me, I told him that would be great, just add a few bottles of paint and I will leave a happy woman. It is now included in my funeral plans, for real!! I can't imagine going any place with out my paints and brushes - you never know when you might need them.

Oh, ADDIE: I remember you talking about that when you finished your pantry door. Goodness gracious, you've done two major projects to perfection. I love how you've given the pattern (eyes) in the feathers contrast w/the white around the blue. I can't imagine why you aren't happy w/your sky - it's PERFECT. I also like the feeling of the roundness in your columns - they're so real-looking. The whole thing gives me the impression of being outside in some sort of pavillion w/the peacock calmly looking through the pillars - such a peaceful sight. I so admire your patience in cutting all those intricate, small pieces. Another amazingly, unforgettable work of art. I had looked at this last evening, but was too tired to comment. I awoke w/thoughts of it this morn - truly a gallery-worthy piece of art. How lovely your d.r. must be w/this fabulous project. Take a deep bow and accept your crown, girlie. You must be as proud as this peacock looks.

Wow, clairjo, you've been busy! I love seeing the "starts" of your plants...the sweet peas will be so pretty on that trellis you made & in the galv. tub! Thanks for that idea!

Love the wickers! What an awesome herb garden you will have...that will be beautiful..are you doing anything special to the wicker or just letting the weather "take it away!" over the seasons? Awesome chair, too! Good for you! Spring is coming! Jeanne S.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I am going to keep the herb bench the same color and let nature age it. October17 I will be planting different varieties of basil, mint(in the herb bench but contained to a container under the dirt), parsley, cilantro and whatever else will fit! BTW I am October 16th. lol

Wow! Really love the rocker!!! Great wicker finds.. they are hard to come by around here. The bb will look loverly by the pool.
