Hi Nichol, I see she is indeed a member and got her Member Page to come up. She has no email link, or location on her Member Page. There has been a problem for some time now in that 'some' member pages do not come up via a Member Search. What one can do to verify membership, is to do a search of the whole site on the member name, to see if there have been any posts made by the member name in question. If there are posts, one can then see their Member Page via the link. If no posts are found, (or you might even want to do this 'first' after not getting the name to come up in the Member Search, is this. 1-bring up your Member Page...not your Trade Page. 2-Go up to the URL and delete just 'your' name off of the end of the URL 3-fill in the member name in question 4-enter! Bingo...it will either come up, or it will say something like...sorry, this person does not exist. If the Member Page 'does' come up, or you find they are a member by finding a post of theirs, I ask that you use the Contact US link found at the bottom of any page here, and report it to GW. Report it as a technical problem in the choices in the drop down box menu. Then state that member "so and so" is not found via a Member Search. They will then get that member fixed. I suggest doing this to 'help' the member out, because until it is discovered and reported, it 'will not' get fixed. This has been a problem for some time now, so I am assuming it might be like the tech team trying to find a needle in a haystack. Who knows?...just my guess since it has been going on for a while. What I would suggest you do, is send her a link to This thread addressing newbie and newer member issues. Explain that she really needs to first get her Member Page email link set up. Ask that she read on down in that thread, and it will address the many posts at the Seed Exchange where generous members with 'excess' seeds have offered them up for postage. Tell her it explains what threads to look for...Free, newbie, sasbe/BEAP., etc. It is very good that you did 1, 2, and 3 above. You are a newbie who really has it going on!...does anyone say that any more?...lol Sue

Interesting individual. I read a bunch at the top of this thread and then gave up, so I haven't read the more recent postings. One thought that kept popping up in my head is that she probably is sick--clinically mentally ill. Perhaps with addictions issues on top of that (self-medicating perhaps?). Some of you posted quotes from her. The ones where she is responding to direct confrontation sound a lot like someone who is mentally ill. If that is the case, then she probably can't help what she's doing (at least not without mental health treatment and her own committment to deal with her illness). It would also account for the fact that her behavior is completely illogical (plant the damn things--you'll never have to beg seed again!). I find, when dealing with someone who is seriously mentally ill, that one of the most therapeutic ways of dealing with them is to remain calm, non-judgemental, and set CLEAR, CONSISTENT boundaries. So the blunt messages people have sent her telling her they will not trade with her under any circumstances are actually a good thing! This is sounding preach-y---NOT what I meant. I really want to say to everyone out there who has posted, thanks for protecting the rest of us! If she's really ill, then she probably won't go away, but at least we have the good souls on GardenWeb looking out for us and spreading the word! Sadly, Eva has not had a good first experience with the Antique Roses Forum. I googled her user name and found four results over several months. I'm very sorry, Eva, for the hurt that came from cautiousness. It's unfortunate that the internet has become a dangerous place. On Tuesday at work I clicked on a file in an email "from FedEx" and got a trojan virus from it. It's gotten so you can't trust anything strange and almost anything familiar. (BTW, don't click on anything in an email from FedEx saying your shipment wasn't delivered. The zip file opens an executable file that doesn't say ".exe". So beware. His comment had to do with repairs. He said that If a Bluestar needs a repair, you can take it apart only a couple of times and that these flimsy clips (where they are I do not know) break easily. This may not be very helpful. He recommended Wolf mainly for their great customer service. He did say that the Bluestar was nice but he thought the Wolf was made better. I may see him again next week when he brings the part needed for my washing machine so I will ask him again. He did steer me away from Thermador due to their poor customer service. All of the models I mentioned in my first post are available locally, but I would have to take a drive to use any of them. We live in central VA so I would guess that the DC area would have a store with some live cooking available.
