From top to bottom for the plants you don't know are:

1st picture - the plant with the green leaves and white veins is a Fittonia and the plant next to is a Hypoestes variety.
2nd picture - a Hypoestes as well. I'd suggest pinching this one back to a few leaves from the bottom of the stems. This will encourage nice lush and bushy growth.
3rd picture - This looks like a close-up of the first picture. Am I right? The coloring on those plants is beautiful. I have a mixed pot of Hypoestes varieties (pink, white and red variegation) but the red variety didn't make it though the rest is doing well. How interesting is that?
4th picture - Is also a Hypoestes variety with pink variegation.

The Hypoestes require fairly bright light (no direct sun though) to maintain their colors and they should be pinched out regularly to prevent them from getting to leggy and ugly. Keep the soil moist letting it dry slightly between waterings. Occasional misting I find, is substantial.

The Fittionia likes a little less light than the Hypoestes and it is meant to be a trailer but you can pinch it out to keep it bushy as well. It likes higher humidity but I don't think it likes misting as its leaves are slightly furry.

The rest of your plants look very nice and happy. I'm jealous of your Jade. Mine's just a teeny tiny little leaf cutting with teeny tiny little leaves coming up. It's so teeny tiny that it's adorable and I wish it had cheeks so I could pinch 'em. =P

Yes, the first two pictures are of the three plants, one in one pot and two in the other. The second two pictures are close ups of the leaves. I wasn't sure how big the pictures would be, so I posted all four pictures just in case.

I completely forgot about this until you posted, but I am pretty sure I had a red Hypostes before as well, but it wilted on me. This was before I knew anything about drainage, or that generally plants really shouldn't be watered every day. (kind of important stuff, it's a wonder I had any plants survive then!)

Thank you and I'm very excited about the Jade plant. The one I had originally had stems and branches that were about a half inch in diameter. I know I will be waiting a long time for this Jade to get that big, but it will be worth it.

Do you have a humidifier to raise the humidity or is it naturally humid where you are? If not, I'd suggest putting your plants on a pebble tray, especially the Fittonia. I had a Fittonia once and it didn't last long because my humidity wasn't high enough.

Absolutely, I agree abt the moisture for Fittonias.

An easy pebble tray to make is to take plastic lids from pints of ice cream, fill them w/ rocks or small stones & then seat the potted plant ON TOP OF this, water to slight overflow into the rocks. The Fittonia will be able to absorb the extra water it wants w/ less danger of root rot.

Fittonias also do very well in Terrariums. I usually grow them in there or in the bathroom for its exta humidity.

I gave a relative a round glass globe terrarium of red- veined Fittonia when she moved into a new place. Low maintenance & beautiful (just pinch the plant back now & then & replace the trimmings into the parent terrarium).

bunnygurl - Nope, I don't have a humidifier, though I should probably get one. It tends to be humid in the summer, but during the winter it gets very dry.

pirate_girl - Thank you for the info on how to make a pebble tray. That is something I can do right away. I like the idea of a terrarium, I think I might do that sometime soon.

Nicole...starting from pic 1..it's an Aloe, it needs quite a bit of sun.
Pic 2. is a Jade..another sun-lover.
Pic 3. Ficus/Rubber tree. Yep, more sun.
Pic 4. Maranta/Prayer Plant. It's doing great.
Pic 5. Sanseviera..What size is its pot. It's said they cannot be killed, but overwatering will do it.
Pic 6. It's not a Corn Plant. It's Pleomele/Reflexa variagata, or Song of India/Jamaica. Related to Dracaena.
Pic 7. Scheflera/Australian Umbrella Tree.
Pic 8. Croton, humidity lover.

Thank you. The Sanseviera is in a wooden basket with a plastic insert. I got it at a florist and they put a layer of something, it looked like little pieces of charcoal, in the bottom of it to help with drainage. I am horrible with measurements, but it is an oval shape, about 3.5 inches across one way and about 6 inches across the other way.

Later today I will get a picture of one of the stalks, as another is doing what the stalk that died did. I water that plant every three to four weeks usually, the longest I have gone without watering that guy is 6 weeks.

I will also post another picture, I am attempting to make a terrarium. Pirate_girl, I really liked your idea and I'm hoping I can make it look nice and make the plants happy.

I suggest the pot for that Sans. is too big, that MAY be why you're losing a stem here & there.

Even if one doesn't water all that often, the mix of a larger pot can stay wet a longer time, that CAN lead to root rot which can destroy stems (leaves) one by one.

I'd unpot the Sans., check its roots, cut off anything that's try & brittle or soft & mushy.

I'd use fresh mix either for Houseplant or Cactus & Succulent mix, then add 30-40% perlite. Try to use mixes that have little or no peat for this. I'd pot it smaller into maybe a pot 4" in diamter, maybe 5" not much larger.

Best way to judge is use one pot size larger than the size of the rootball. Then DON'T WATER IT for a week or so. You can place rocks on the top of the mix if you need to to support the plant in place after banging the newly planted plant & pot on the tabletop to help it settle in.

That moss stuff on top of the sans might be acting like a mulch and slowing the soil's dry down time too. Also, those plastic inserts don't seem to really drain right, even if they HAVE drain holes. There's also the possibility that, if there ARE drain holes, the charcoal clogged them, or the basket is preventing proper draining too.

I'm not sure if smaller sans need more water or not. Mine's pretty big and I only water it about once a month in the winter. I should actually go do that today.

Ok, since I did make the terrarium I have two 4" pots open, so I will transplant the sanseviera to one of those. I did get a picture of the plant, but not the terrarium, my battery was almost dead and needed to charge so I just took one picture. Here it is:

Just to comment about your polka dot plants and to disagree a little...I don't think they ugly when they grow out. It's true, if you want little dense, nice guys, you should pinch them back (and I find rooting them to be very easy, I just use soil and a fair amount of water and (unfortunately) patience)...but they can look cool longer too! I have quite a few and I like to pinch some back hard to keep them small and compact, and some I pinch back just a little and let them grow out longer though they look nicer when they're a few of them together.
I REALLY like 2nd pink one down for how you've let it grow out so far.

Daw, thank you. I like the way yours look, that is a gorgeous arrangement. The stems on mine aren't as strong as yours I don't think, because when they get any longer than they are in the picture I posted they start to fall over.

Pirate_girl, I went to Home Depot today, as I really don't have many places to get anything plant related around where I live, and asked about perlite for my plants. He had no idea what I was talking about. Do you have any ideas for me on where to look? They didn't have cactus & succulent mix either. I'm ready to go on a scavenger hunt looking for some supplies :)

Ok, I did a search here on perlite, and found out that they probably did have it at Home Depot. I'm planning on going to the cities today anyway so I will find some. There are other similar stores in the cities as well, I'll check around.
