There's a little bit of insect damage going on which the plants should be able to outgrow vs. the damage they're taking. Some of the harsher patches of death on the older leaves looks like simple sunburn.

The leaf yellowing issues are most likely nutrition issues. Is the soil staying wet/saturated? If so, this may be the issue and you should cut down on the watering. If it's not that, you might want to provide a "medium strength" application of fertilizer (miracle grow or etc). If you've applied nutrients it may be too much (doubtful, though). It could even be a pH issue preventing proper nutrient dispersal.

On the long term, if you're concerned about disease you might want to at least mulch (straw is awesome) under your plants to help prevent soil/water splash during watering/rain.

If your watering is okay and your pH is fine...a shot of N-rich fertilizer in the soil is most likely the proper "fix." The tomatoes look especially hungry given how lushly green the new growth is vs. old growth.

Try and distinguish between the new growth and the oldest leaves, especially on artichokes. As long as the rhizomes stay healthy, the leaves & fruit will eventually come, no matter how ratty any one leaf looks. Transplant shock can be rough and produce stress signs in all plants, but it's best to wait it out a bit and see if the new growth recovers.

Splashing soil up on the leaves while watering can produce yellow & black spotting too, it's one of my biggest challenges, as a moment of garden ADHD while watering means I've just splattered an entire row of seedlings with soilborne fungi and bacteria. It's often localized and never spreads beyond the affected leaf, except on my solanums (tomato, eggplant, potatoes, ...) it can mean I've just sent early blight everywhere, as I can't seem to get that disease out of my garden ever since my Home Depot tomatoes were infested.

Whiteflies leaving your nursery-bought plants is a huge problem, it's illegal for the nursery to sell you infested plants. Get a refund and/or find another nursery. I rarely use box stores anymore, their pest prevention is weak (at best).

Actually this is a very reputable nursery. Higher in price, but usually worth it. It is privately owned. Sooo???

I am embarrassed to admit this but we have been getting the seedlings completely wet, leaves and all every night. Didn't know that we weren't supposed to.

Think I'll test the soil for sure to see if ea item is getting the pH it best likes.

So happy to hear back from you guys. We were/are freaking out after all of the work, etc.

Regarding the comment about over watering...we water every night as we thought we were supposed to when they are first put into ground. Is that a no no??

You should probably stop watering them every night and apply some mulch like the others have suggested. Over watering wastes water, washes nutrients out from your soil, discourages deep root system development, and sometimes can kill your plants if your drainage isn't good to begin with.

Had they been hardened off when you bought them? The transplants all look as if they might have been stressed/damaged by being out of doors in the sun/wind.

Ok, we will stop watering nightly. Thought I'd heard that we should. Will definitely stop.

No, we didn't harden off because we thought they sort of already were being that they were at an outdoor nursery, however, now that I really think about it, they were in a protected area. Protected from wind, etc. Yikes! Do you think that we have done them in permanently? I so hope not. Guess we could start over if need be. Will do so if we should. Was just alot of work is all.

Veggies are in furrowed rows, so how should we water and how often would you say?
