Can someone check my figures?

I feel like I'm missing something in these figures, as the end difference between retail and wholesale should be more (i think)

my soil mix consists of:

3 cups U

2 cups RPS

2 cups Coir

1 cup sharp sand

1/2 cup perlite

3 secret ingredients

MATH:

3 cups U retail = .1491

1 bag = 11.22 gals = 180 cups

price $8.95 divided by 180 = .0497 per cup

ALTERNATE

3 cups U wholesale = .051

1 bag = 11.22 gals = 180 cups

price $3.07 divided by 180 = .0170 per cup

(a difference of .0981 per cup. A savings of $19.62 per bag)

2 cups RPS = .0546

1 bag = 5.8 gals = 93 cups

price $1.99 divided by 93 = .0273 per cup

ALTERNATE

2 cups compost = no cost

2 cups Coir = .256

1 block makes average 18.5 gals = 296 cups

price $37.95 divided by 296 = .128 per cup

1 cup Sharp Sand = .026

80 pound bag = 11.79 gallons = 188 cups

price $207.00 per pallet = (42 bags) $4.92 divided by 188 = .026 per cup

1/2 cup Perlite = .o62

32 qt. bag is 8 gallons = 128 cups

price $15.95 per pallet divided by 256 = .062

3 Secret Ingredients = no cost

TOTAL retail = .5477 per 4 plants = $27.38 per 200 plants

TOTAL wholesale = .4496 per 4 plants = $22.48 per 200 plants

sorry - take out "per pallet" from the Perlite price. It's actually "2 bags".

Nothing wrong with your math, except here:

Looks to me like the savings is 8.95 - 3.07 = 5.88 per bag.

I don't know what you mean by "the end difference between retail and wholesale should be more". The only component where you give retail and wholesale prices is U, and retail is almost three times wholesale, which seems like a lot to me. But U is only 27% of the final price of your mix (retail version), so it doesn't make a huge difference in the total cost of the mix.

Here is my math... Volume of a cylinder 0.5" height and radius of 14x3x12 = 504" is 400000 cubic inches or 1731 US gal. Since I get 262.5 gal/hr flow I therefore need just under 7 hours

What I would do is take all the pavers and put them in front of the gate in a solid path. This will be about as wide as the gate (not narrower), and as long as the pavers hold out. It should be large enough that it is visible from where the camera is in the picture. The reasons are that the area at the gate will have wear problems, and isolated pavers are difficult to deal with. They should be set at ground level, to avoid tripping issues, but then they are easily overgrown by the grass.

Thank you stephja007. The hallway is actually 42". We were thinking of putting a deck on that side, hence the door close to the kitchen. I would love to have the master in that spot! The only way to do that is to put one of the spare bedrooms in a different area - most likely where the master is now. It needs a window, so can't go along the back part of the house with other rooms on either side. If I put the kitchen at the back of the house, it will get even less natural light (unless it's going where the master bedroom was, then it will get southern exposure. Is that what you meant? Then the spare bedroom doesn't work again lol

If you took the picture with the camera on the phone the picture is stored on your phone. You can Log into your eBay account and using the browser on your phone or the app if you have one. Go to the picture on your phone and there should be a share icon, it looks like a sideways V with dots on the ends on Android, on iPhone it looks like a box with an arrow pointing upward out of the box. . Click on the icon and it will show a list of ways to share the pictures. Email, messenger, etc. I have always preferred to simply remove the memory card from the camera, when using an actual camera, and inserting it into the card reader on the computer. Then accessing directly from the SD card the pictures to download to the computer. It's a simple process.
