Who digs up and replants their same tulips yearly?

Two years ago I bought a certain great pastel mix from Van Engelen which doesn't appear to be on their listings any longer. The first year it was wonderful. This spring quite a few varieties were no shows--kind of disappointing. I was thinking of trying a dedicated bed which would be cleared after the foliage died, digging the tulip bulbs up and storing until fall to see if I had any better luck with rebloom. I can always use the vacated area for annuals for the rest of the gardening season.

Anyone doing this? Does it work to keep up the show yearly?
