Please help me finish my bedroom
Comments (25)Hello, I am katsmah's daughter. Thank you for all your compliments and ideas on the room. Almost everything you have recommended, I have tried, but she can be rather stuborn. First, I would like to say, I never leaned toward Tiffany Blue. I think it's too bright, and she doesn't like it anyway. I think the blue-ish grey that you see everywhere now would be beautiful in here. As far as prints, I think a Damask would be nice, it's mature and elegant to go with her beautiful furniture, but she doesn't like Damask, or really any prints for that matter. She wants to do stripes, which I think wouldn't go with the lines of the furniture. As far as moving the furniture around, I did a whole layout on a free website, but she said that outside wall is too cold, and she sleeps here, so it's her say in the end. As far as the headboard, I had first traced out the front arch of the dresser to get the proper length, it's the same width as a queen bed, and then I lined up the ends of the mirror to flow seemlessly into the arch and cut that out, but I don't think I can make a wood frame around it....Update! I just found out she want's Damask now, not stripes anymore. Thank you, now I can actually get this thing started. She is starting to trust me now that you have all confirmed what I have been saying. Thank you all....See MoreHelp finish master bedroom...window coverings, rug?, art, accents
Comments (16)Thanks @loobab! That bedding has turned out to be perfect in every way. It has become the inspiration for the whole house color palette. As often happens with decorating projects, I now have a new problem to solve. I have no place to put all those decorative pillows at night. There’s no other furniture in the room besides the bed and nightstands. Adding a bench at the foot of the bed seems silly with all that space on the sides to work with. A chair would be nice, but what else to put with it? I don’t need or want a dresser. And we don’t watch tv in that room, so a media console isn’t relevant. I fear just plopping a chair in one corner won’t be enough. Please help!...See MoreFinishing touches on pink master bedroom: PLEASE HELP!
Comments (57)Ok! I'd love to do the whole wall - I just have another chain on here with my entryway and alot of people have said my living room is too busy as it is haha I really did want to do the wall paper though. I'm really feeling these designs if I do top and bottom: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/magnolia-home-pick-up-sticks-wallpaper?recommendation=dyrectray-SimilarProduct&color=018&type=STANDARD&quantity=1&size=Pasted%20Roll https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/peaceful-plume-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=024&searchparams=page%3D2%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=Pasted%20Roll&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/distressed-floral-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=004&searchparams=page%3D3%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/hummingbird-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=105&searchparams=q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/birdsong-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=011&searchparams=q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/rainbow-rose-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=079&searchparams=page%3D3%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1...See MoreHelp me put the finishing touches on our bedroom!
Comments (17)THANK YOU all! I definitely feel less "stuck" now! nicole: Yes, rewrapping the bed is a great idea. I do have a natural linen duvet that I change to in the summer--I change up the pillows and throw. jck910: You are absolutely right! The nightstands and bench ARE all scrunched up! I can easily change that up and also move the rug down so the bench is entirely on the rug. Yes, new lamps are in the plan--just haven't found the right ones yet. (or the right ones at the right price!) njmomma and Beverly: Thank you for the great eye candy and ideas! Our bed is actually a queen size, although it looks a bit squatty in the pictures. We have room for a king size, but we really don't want a bed that big--weird, I know. Round elements are a great idea--I'm also thinking I need more texture. I will mention the color in my pics is waaaay off! The walls are Sherwin Williams Ethereal Gray, which is a definite Greige. In my pics it looks very brown--and even greenish. OK--I feel much better and back on track now! Thanks again!...See Moreleelee
