Our Brooklyn airbnb

Some of you may know I enjoy running a popular airbnb in Brooklyn (96% occupancy!). Our goal was to be the best designed one in BedStuy. No Wayfair furniture! (that stuff gives me design hives). I wanted to use actual antiques and vintage items from my personal inventory along with original art (uknown MFA artists combined with some museum level pieces that were clearly more affordable when I bought them). Each room is it’s own bold color and make for easy to photograph spaces that “pop” online. I really do love a great room of white, but know the market, right? These “Instagrammable moments'' have even led to our house being used in some fashion photoshoots as well. I am now two degrees away from Kim Kardashian: words I never thought I’d use.

On the wall is this great portrait I found at a Master of Fine Art (MFA) show and it ALSO reminded me of a Gerhard Richter, just like the work in my last post. And we all know I’m as likely to get a Richter as I am to own a Gulfstream jet so I got what I could get. This pheasant from @madegoods; and to to top it all off a vase that I found at Eastern Market’s weekend flea market in Washington, DC. I also added some personal additions of beauty that I think make our space feel both genuine and inviting. Fingers crossed we keep doing this.
