Bad jokes aside, this brownstone renovation project is in the BedStuy historic district, what could easily be considered one of the best largescale brownstone districts in the city. It is also particularly thrilling to work with this client on one of THE homes in this district. Yet, even masterpiece buildings like this one have sometimes been neglected for over a century. This one was no exception so the opportunities are amazing.

Clients often think they can renovate these houses on their own, but it can be hard to decide, let alone execute, on a scope this large. I've fooled myself, too! When I was younger, I took on projects that were beyond my skill level and budget. But now that I'm MUCH older, somewhat wiser, and more experienced with renovation work, I know when to ask questions and how to answer a lot of them. Just as important, I have a team of people who help me figure out how to answer the even trickier speciality questions. Hooray for getting old. And knowing how to match ladder colors on site.
