The majority of our clients want a “neutral with a pop of color” so I really love this living room for showing colorways to do this beyond white. A custom daybed by us, upholstered in outdoor fabric, is practical and durable but a fun option in lieu of a sofa. Great for midday naps or out of town guests!

The vermillion orange pillow is very intentional. We chose this poppy orange for the pillow and custom table base by @antonmakadesigns because it reminded me of California’s state flower and the Golden Gate Bridge a nod to our awesome client’s roots. For me, I still believe a big part of who I am is Californian—where I first moved away, came out, fell in love—the silly things one does in their youth. So getting to do this project for this client was really special for me. I’m glad he was able to take this to his new house as he started his new family.
