Interior Designers & Decorators

Modern kitchen in Chelsea

Less often than you might expect, a client lets me do exactly what I want. We get to transform their space and get rid of their IKEA furniture and this was one of those projects!

I had a blank canvas to mixi custom furniture pieces with vintage—and this client let me indulge this to my heart’s content. Contemporary design can often be clinical, but by using a mix of vendors, geography, time periods and cultures, you can come up with something uniquely “now” that will also stand the test of time.

Flea markets, Punahou School art fair, Manhattan sidewalk street finds, the famous Housing Works Design on a Dime sale (which I did twice years ago) and some designer-exclusive showrooms along with our favorite workshops all played a role in making this happen. Contemporary Hawaii, mid-century Scandinavia and Germany, traditional Japanese, new Italian influences, antique American and the now of Brooklyn are all here in a mix of influences that made me so happy. I hope you guys like it! : )
