This big girls bedroom was designed for our daughter. Now that she’s almost 5, we wanted to upgrade her bedroom to have more of a “big girl” aesthetic. To maximize space and storage, I chose a queen size bed that didn’t need a box spring, opening up our options storage underneath. I recommend choosing a large bed for a kid’s room, just in case it ever needs to be converted into a guest room for extended family during holidays and such.

Transitional furniture paired with a neutral background (with pale pink accents, of course) give my daughter’s room a balanced design that can be easily adapted to her tastes as she grows older. A quaint reading area adds an extra touch of personality, with a plush round chair and a few pieces of her favorite decor.
