We designed this family room to be an ideal space where everyone could unwind in the evenings and weekends. Designed for comfort we have kept the decor casual and laid back. The soft gray color theme in the room renders it flexible for use by all ages.

A gray and white printed mid-century modern sofa with grandly stuffed back cushions, accessorized with deep jewel-toned throw pillows, and a mauvish pink single seater with a dull gold metal frame, constitute the main seating of the room. Two teal chenille covered portable floor poufs complement a low reading table with a metallic frame. The center table has a tufted gray cushion tabletop with a dull gold metal frame.

A black and white knitted carpet covers a majority of the wood-paneled flooring. Two large gray-black cushions function as floor pillows that could be used to comfortably watch a movie.

A wall-mounted TV is surrounded by white storage cabinetry and quirky art pieces from the client’s personal collection. Other personal articles such as a knitted dream catcher, artistic sculptures, African stool drums, a guitar, and a grand piano have been integrated into the room. Modern ceiling lights and a standing lamp provide the required lighting.

This Austin family room has all the creature comforts the family needs to unwind and relax. Teal poufs, an antique-pink chair with a matte gold frame, a printed couch, massive fluffy floor cushions, and a low table for popcorn and snacks. Add to this a sleek flat-screen TV, music instruments for a jam session, and of course, framed art - this is TV viewing at its best.
