How to delete web pages searched from Google homepage
Comments (2)It's actually the web browser you are using that is keeping track and not Google itself. I keep some of the web pages I have searched and just highlite and delete those I don't want. Just hover over those and click delete. To delete all of the entries assuming you are using IE7 do the following.... Click the Tools menu Select Delete Browsing History Click the Delete forms button Click the Yes button in the confirmation window. Click the Close button You can also click on Preferences next to the Google search box and near the bottom where it says Query Suggestion put a check in the button that says... Do not provide query suggestions in the search box. That will stop the auto suggestion when a similar letter is entered. Bob...See Morehow to delete google history
Comments (7)Google web history.. while there, may not be what you mean. IE has autocomplete which saves things typed in form fields which may be what you are wanting to clear. Some of those things are logins and passwords. I know of no way to clear just the google items. But to clear all autocompletes, it that will work for you -0 in ie6 I think it goes something like this ... 1. Click on Tools in the IE menu 2. Select Internet Options 3. Select the Content Tab 4. Click the AutoComplete button 5. Click Clear Forms 6. Click OK 7. Click OK again ~ Alternatively; If you think google is saving the search terms,(which they do for everybody) google search box might forget them if you were to delete the google cookies....See MoreHouzz Has Become UnManageable... I Can't Search 50,000 Photos!
Comments (79)When I started using Houzz I was amazed at how accurate the results of my searches were (in addition to the size of the photos database). It was a great resource. More recently when I've prepared to undertake projects, I've noticed that I just don't get the same, accurate results. My searches are riddled with results that just aren't pertinent. I think this is due to the incorporation of advertisers from my city and surrounding areas (contractors, builders, and others). There are enough ads (or results that are somehow influenced by someone who has something to sell) now to really hinder the flow of design ideas. I guess many internet sites end up using advertisers but it morphs the user experience. It's really made using Houzz less fruitful....See MoreHow do I delete a "Follower"
Comments (19)Rhizo, I was one of your followers (at least I think) and am not offended. Happened by accident before I even looked at the Kitchen Table. You were always helping identifying caterpillars and bugs in the Butterfly Garden. Sometimes when I hit the notification bell icon, instead of getting to the thread I accidentally land on the profile of whoever posted last (iPad). What does the following even do? I never got any notifications about anybody I am following (and there are some more accidental butterfly people). Never bothered to unfollow anybody for that reason....See MoreCurt D'Onofrio
