Aminopyralids...DESTROY ALL PLANT LIFE ESPECIALLY BROADLEAFS like Beans Peas broccoli family etc etc http://www.the-gardeners-calendar.co.uk/news/story.asp?nid=1448 i had trouble in washington state with the CERTIFIED ORGANIC COMPOST i was using...seems most commercial composters use municipal as well as public sources for their compost ingredients. all it takes is a few contaminated yard clippings that have been sprayed with ROUNDUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yep ROUNDUP that poison pushed by Costco even...thousands of gardens wiped out!-it takes up to 4 years for it to COOK out of your soil even after that you might experience problems-MAKE YOUR OWN COMPOST and boycott MONSANTO! ALL THEIR PRODUCTS! for they are poisoning the world. there are tests you can do -home control plots etc etc-but you need to start with pure virgin soil...good luck p.s. i am Michigan Now and they are having the same problems as WA state had 10 years ago...they are finally waking up though as people pass around this information.Namaste T

hi, My plants are starting to get a little bigger now (1" or so) but are still not close to transplant size. I plan on givingthem a fertilizer boost today. I'm also going to have a bit of problem becuse one of my marrianna's peace plant is slightly bigger then the other so I don't know which plant should be the OTM plant and which should get the normal treatment. do to the fact that someone has been posting advertisments for Joyfultomato.com I thought a I'd post this "disclaimer" DISCLAIMER I am NOT affiliated in anyway with Joyfultomato.com and I'm highly sceptical of th this method. however Im willing to "sacrifice a tomato plant to test if this pruning method works. THANK YOU Gazania. The ignorance of mental illness abounds. I get so sick of the rehab mantra everyone chants. Rehab will not work unless the underlying cause is addressed first. That underlying cause is generally mental illness. The drugs, the drinking are self medication. The other horrible behaviors are manic and compulsive. Until we treat mental illness the same way we treat cancer the vicious cycle will continue. I know a lot of so called recovered alcoholics and drug users who are still mentally ill and still exhibiting irrational behaviors. Ever hear of a dry drunk? I'm sick of the courts sending these people to rehab over and over when what they do need is a good medical and psychological work-up followed by proper treatment. But rehab is a money maker plus it makes society "feel" better. People prefer the bandaid approach rather than talk about the huge elephant in the room. Maybe even their own room.

I've had this problem as well...didn't even realize that the bobbin thread not rising up was the cause. After a bit of focused experimenting a few minutes ago I realized there is no inherent tension in the bobbin thread area (despite the design of the machine!). So with the bobbin cover removed and the presser foot UP if I set the bobbin as normal and held the end of the thread off to the side AND applied a bit of tension to it I could get the needle to pick it up perfectly. Tested it and sewing was normal! Maybe the needle needing to be changed contributes to jams but I have run that scenario of changing it and everything else in complete frustration over this problem until I saw what was really happening...which tends to occur out of the blue...knowing I can manually get the machine to pick up the thread allows me to continue using a needle that is still serviceable. Tip: I read that some people remove the presser foot to get access to the threads but I use a small plastic tool that is shaped like a crochet hook to grab the thread back after getting it- safer and time saving for when this happens. Hope it helps others to know.
