new thread- more dead of winter pick me ups
Comments (7)Fabulous Liberty. Looks alot like my Magic Fire. I have both and will have to compare them this year to see how similar they are - both being sports of Sagae. Anyone have both mature plants? Do they look that similar? Most of my hostas are in full sun also and do just fine. Love all those rocks. I've got a chunk of flamingo quartz. I've got another large dark gray rock that has white lines - it looks like someone drizzled frosting on the rock. Going to be moving them this spring to new locations. I don't have equipment to do that .....we'll see how that goes! Teresa How big is your property?...See MoreBobbin Thread showing on PE 180D
Comments (2)My PC8500 sometimes leaves a pretty long piece of bobbin thread when it runs out, and sometimes that will pull to the top when I start again. Are you sure it's the new bobbin thread coming up? Seems weird that it works fine unless you change the bobbin in the middle of a design. Do you have to take the hoop off to get to the bobbin? If not, maybe you aren't getting the bobbin in quite right, or the thread in the tension quite right. I know mine is sometimes hard to get the thread in right because the embroidery arm is in the way....See MoreUpper thread will not pull up bobbin
Comments (3)Hi, My machine was skipping stitches and it could be the same problem. The bobbin case sometimes gets thread caught in it. I ran a thin straight pin between the pieces that create the tension and it fixed it. You could also try using thread in it like dental floss, back and forth. Thread gets jammed there just like it gets jammed in the upper machine. Also, check the bobbin case area and under the feed dog plate to make sure there's no thread caught in it and make sure the 'hook' that pulls the thread around the bobbin case is moving freely. Did you do anything about the same time that it stopped working, like thread the top or bobbin, or change the needle? If the needle is in wrong or it's not threaded properly, it won't pick up the bobbin thread. Hope that helps. Linda...See Moreset timing on brother sewing machine wont pull bobbin thread up
Comments (6)Always, always, always double check your needle and be sure it's installed correctly before looking any further when a machine suddenly won't pick up the bobbin thread. Make sure that it hasn't slipped down a bit or gotten twisted in the needle clamp. If you changed the needle before this sewing session, re-check and make sure that the thread groove in the needle is postioned directly below the last thread guide. Even better, consult your manual and make sure you've got the right size needle and that it's installed properly. About 90% of "timing" problems are solved by re-installing the needle.
