We lost one of our Aussies last month to Leptospirosis - he was only 7. We have another boy who is 8. He's lonely and we're missing having two of them. This is a photo of Adele, taken by our breeder. She's 6. Our breeder reached out to us and asked if we'd be interested in adopting her - we haven't met her yet and will have to see what the chemistry is like between her and Grady. She's gorgeous and just had her last litter of pups this month who have the same father as the dog we lost. We're too old to raise another puppy, so an older dog would be perfect if we all get along. We're going to meet her in September.

@jrb451 - thank you. We've lived with Aussies for 27 years. She will be our 6th if it works out. Our breeder just lost her husband and is trying to figure out how to manage her kennel. She has put a lot of champions out there and has a lot of support. We're flattered she would trust us with this girl.

So this happened across the street last night. I had my windows open and didn't even hear anything. I had to laugh. I didn't even know kids did that anymore. My neighbor has a daughter in middle school so I think that is what it's about. I pictured the kids hearing from someone's grandpa that "Back in my day, we TP'd people's houses."

My neighbor is a good guy and I know he will think this is pretty funny.

@seagrass i'm so very sorry for your loss. i'm hopeful that the offer from your breeder will result in a wonderful new addition. the aussie girl is stunning! it's so nice that she thinks enough of you to make this offer. this is how my merle boy came to me after the death of my female's long-time partner in crime. frank and pippin bonded instantly, i hope grady falls in love at first sight!
