i've always admired frank's ability to fall asleep anywhere.

My camera did something funky in the subway station, so now I have ghost commuters.....I don't know what happened, but I like it.

I did not take this, but it's just too cute not to share. My neighbor successfully reunited mom and babies yesterday. Momma is old and really couldn't jump the fence. The babies were where mom left them, in a yard where the gate is open. She just forgot about that part and was frantic to get to the kids. She is a tame deer (I know that isn't good but the neighbors feed her) so my neighbor was able to talk her into following her around the front of the house and down the driveway to the backyard where she saw the open gate and her youngsters inside. Amazing!

Something crazy happened Friday morning. It was not my weight alone that caused this. My toe caught the edge of the glass bathroom scale. I caught my balance but somehow propelled the scale into the base of the toilet. This is the result; it was completely shattered! Thankful for tempered glass, and, yes, that toilet is Kohler Desert Bloom. Ugh.

tree that DH and his brother cut down last week. It was dicey to say the least. can't tell from the pic but it was almost 100' tall and dead as a doornail.
