The Taco Bell ad with the song "Tender Loving Care", by Jimmie Rodgers (not the 20's-30's yodelling star, but from the 50's). I don't know what it has to do with Taco Bell, but I really love the song. I ignore the Taco Bell part, and just enjoy the song.

These two bother me (but there are others):

• Charmin ads with the blue bears and bits of toilet paper hanging from their butts.
• The Mucinex phlegm blobs

Any ad featuring children in adult roles. There’s one running in the Kansas City area now with a child answering the phone in a plumbing business: ”Yes, we can save you money,” he/she chirps.

Gag me with a spoon.

I still enjoy listening to Jimmie Rodgers, his Best of album has Tender Love and Care along with many other unforgettable songs - Bimbombay, Oh Oh I'm Falling in Love Again, Kisses Sweeter Than Wine, and more. Highly recommended. Get it, it's easier than waiting for a Taco Bell commercial.

Oh and PS - I don't watch a lot of TV. But if I'm watching live (instead of delayed), I can mentally tune out the few minutes of commercials. I pay no attention.

I am a great fan of Allstate's "Mayhem" ads and I adore the music on the earlier Skyrizi ads.

I also cannot watch the one soliciting funds for those poor dogs. They are almost worse than the pervasive drug ads that just want you to "ask your doctor" for theirs.

I mute them all without prejudice. Very few get past my quick finger on the button. DH can be a little slower, but a stern look from me gets him scrambling for the remote. On the other side though, I do recall wishing there was a commercial break during the nightly 3 hour "American Revolution" Just for kitchen/restroom visits. And I sure hope the upcoming superbowl ads will be good. The last few years, they seem to be mostly nothing special, regular commercials. It's fun when they are original and, sometimes hilarious. BTW, I've checked out the gigantic The American Revolution book by Geoffrey C. Ward and Ken Burns. It's awesome! 500 pages, 5lbs, and US $80.00!!

Got from the library. It’s very heavy, but the pictures are wonderful. It's 5 pounds.

I like the Barkleys in the Subaru commercials. We generally mute them, so I have to turn those back on.

Like littlebug, I deplore tv or radio commercials with precocious children. We had a series of radio spots with sing-song voiced children lecturing us about our energy usage. Please, no.

Oh yeah, and my choice for worst of all are the never-ending pharmaceutical ones. "The Little Drug Movies". Honorable mention are the horrid All-body deoderant ones.

Many of the ads mention a name or brand. The viewer has to search online for details.

I can't stand most commercials and quickly mute them. Although, there are some exceptions, one being the Old Spice guy commercial and another is the Ella and Iris ad, which is my now favorite. I could see that multiple times and enjoy it.

I've just completed the Poirot series on PBS - everytime I started an episode they showed 2 out of 6 or so ads on rotation and they were ok at first but like water torture in the end - no pause and fast forward option on those that I could find. Maybe if I up my donation they have an ad-free option - at least Darlene Shiley isn't doing her spiel anymore, generous though she is. Fingers crossed PBS can survive, I'll do my part.

Agree on the liberty mutual, I sometimes have to scramble to make it to the remote in time ... same with that old Intel ad - where's Don Draper when we need him (haha for Mad Men fans) .

I don't watch network television, so I don't see most ads. YouTube has some ads but they are short and forgettable and often can be skipped. If an Amazon Prime movie/show has ads, I won't watch it at all. There's nothing I want to see badly enough to put up with ads.

These days, it seems like Instagram is one big advertisement. Almost all the content that makes it to my feed features influencers touting some product. I generally swipe past and exit the app.

We just watched some football, and the ads that I absolutely hate the most of anything I have ever seen! are the ads for the sports betting. I understand that the Philly area is ground zero for these ads, so you may not see as many, but they are horrible, and the concept of sports betting on your phone is horrible, and we're looking at a gambling tsunami just heading to take out a lot of dumb, vulnerable people.

The only commercials I see are the ones running while I eat dinner with the national news on. They are almost 100% medical ads with drugs whose names are unpronounceable. Who comes up with these insane words? I like the possible side effects may be coma or death.

All shows I watch are ones I recorded, so I don't have to ever see any. In some cases, 20 minutes out of an hour is commercials. I remember the days when there was a brief commercial halfway through the show. TV as we know it won't be around in a decade.

There oughta be a law that these side effects (“… and even death…”) be broadcast at the same volume and pace as the ad.

I absolutelylately cant stand the ad that says dont be like your parents. I think its Progressive. Yeah, dont work hard, save your money and love your family.

I had a conversation with a client about animals. She and I both work with organizations that help spay/neuter feral cats. I told her I love ALL animals. She asked if I love cobras. My response was, " Yes, I do love cobras, but that doesn't mean I want to live with them."

Like Sweet Betsy, I can't bear to watch ASPCA ads. They just make me cry. I do support animals, but do so locally.

I don't have a TV but I watch Netflix on my computer and have the lowest price subscription. It has ads--sometimes I can't even figure out what they're advertising. Of course, I don't look at them carefully.
