Yes! I tried watching an episode of her show on Netflix. Oh man, it was so uncomfortable. The guests seem like, 'Why did my agent book me for this?' It is painful. Like when parents arrange a play date for the girl who has no friends.

I’ve watched a few episodes of With Love, and it’s kind of a nice, mindless wind-down when you just want to sip rosé and do a jigsaw puzzle. It’s planned, it’s orchestrated, a departure from chaotic life when you don’t know it your phone will summon you to an ER or last-minute substitution somehwere or a leak at home. So you can go deal with life and know you aren’t missing anything, and when your end is taken care of, you can collapse in a chair with that glass of rosé that you stowed in the fridge, and half-watch Meghan and her random stranger guest make sugar straws.

I'm SHOCKED to learn it's still on. I heard how horrible it was months ago and then it wasn't ever mentioned anywhere so I assumed it was cancelled.

Thank you for sharing the article. I have never watched the show but as I did enjoy the snark of the article, I can imagine some of the justification or appeal for her show is the escapism.

I watch some trash reality shows on tv , and I think it is a nice counterpoint to everything else on tv ( mostly news). I know , and I think most people do, that it's staged and fake as anything, but it's a fun escape.

I don't follow her, really ,but I see so much negative coverage of her that I can almost feel sorry for her.

Every now and then when I read an article about her show I think that I'll tune in - but then I never do. This may not be fair to say since I've never watched it, but I don't need or have time for another celebrity explaining how easy it is to weave sugar snowflakes from thin air.

I still enjoy Ina and Martha and believe they can do just about everything they show us and have made careers from their talents. But from what I have read and the few clips from her show I have the sense that her show is just that - a show.

I kind of liked her first show, but by the second season-I feel she is over the top and unbelievable and fake. And, Harry is a wuss-so she gets no points for that.

I don’t get Netflix. I think she is very pretty and if I had time, I’d be okay with someone showing me how to make a wreath.

I think the point of the article is that making jams and a home crafts show were not what MM expected to be doing after marrying Harry. I’m not sure what she envisioned herself doing, especially after the two of them decided to not perform royal duties, then wrote those books and gave tell all interviews. I suspect they did not think things through, particularly from the perspective of the ”firm.”

Their behavior reminded me of a couple we knew years ago.

The woman of the couple was often quite entitled. She and her boyfriend had a lovely half-house apartment in a very desirable neighborhood. The owner lived upstairs of this rather large house.

One day while my husband and I were visiting, there was some modest level of noise coming from the owner’s part of the house. The woman instructed her boyfriend to go speak with them and ask that they quiet the noise. My DH and I did not even have to exchange glances, but both of us remember being astonished at her audacity.

Within a couple of weeks the landlord announced that their residency there (fantastic digs) would be ending as they would be renovating their apartment for one of their adult children (or some such legally acceptable rationale). What did they expect after essentially reprimanding their landlord? DH and I never made a comment. It would not have registered.

Martha makes my skin crawl as a human being, but I do like that what you see is what you get. She never dove into false platitudes or uncomfortable conversation with guests on her show. It seemed like she almost had distain for them. And I liked that. She was skilled, sharing her skills, and she tolerated the celebs who brought in viewership.

I love Ina's solo cooking shows and her cookbooks. I far prefer her personality to Martha. But, I don't like Be My Guest with Ina Garten. There are a few episodes where she and her guest really seem down to earth with each other and I learn something interesting about the guest. But for the most part, she is a terrible interviewer and the show is just too uncomfortable for me to watch unless I'm drowsy on an airplane from ativan and falling asleep semi-stoned.

Ive never seen the show. My feelings about M and H are mixed. I hope they end up happier than Wallis and Edward (?).

I heard a remark about Harry that has stayed with me. Wish I could remember who said it. She said that Harry was born to be a prince. He is charming and when he walks into a room people smile. He would have been good in his duties as a Spare, without all the pressure of being king.

As for eghan, I dont know what to think. Surely she did not go into that marriage with her eyes closed.

The kids seem cute and I hope they have a happy life.

No one can top the future queen for tenacity. She started early and never gave up. It's probably good to have someone who likes what she worked so hard for. It sure ain't for everybody!
