Do You Have A Favorite Cheese ?
Comments (48)Sue, I like cottage cheese, too. When I lived in IN we used to get a brand called "Michigan Brand" or something like that. Have you had it? It tastes a lot like homemade. Don't have it down here, but I wish they did. Chisue, we usually do that pizza from leftover crab legs and I won't let Harry anywhere near them because I don't want any yucky shell in it. He's not so careful about it. C'mon down--I'll share! :-)...See MoreDo you Have A Good Cheese Cake Recipe?
Comments (6)This is the one I have used many times. It is yummy plain or with a fruit topping. We never have enough left to freeze so I can't answer that question. Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake Created by 4WA0GpaQn8TAC2, Sunday, 16 January 2000 Average user rating / 4 3 Users Voted Description This cheesecake is based from the one that you can purchase from Sam's Wholesale Club. You will find the nut crust quite unusual. Source Copykat Recipe Crust 121/4 C. Finely Chopped Pecans 1/4 C. Finely Chopped Almonds 1/4 C. Finely Chopped Walnuts 3/4 C. Finely Chopped Vanilla Wafers 2 Tbsp. Melted Butter 9" Springpan (coat lightly with butter) Mix all nuts and vanilla wafer crumbs with melted butter and press in the buttered spring pan, trying to line the sides as much as possible about 1 1/2" up the sides of the pan, set aside. Methods/steps Start by beating the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Keep the mixer on a low setting throughout the beating and mixing process. Add the sugar a little at a time and continue beating until creamy. Add one egg at a time and beat after each egg. When eggs have been mixed into the cream cheese add flour, vanilla and lemon juice, mix well. Add the sour cream last and beat well. Pour cream cheese into the spring pan. Place on the top rack in the middle of a 325 degrees preheated oven for one hour and 15 minutes. When time is up, prop open oven door and leave in oven for one hour. After one hour, remove from oven. Let cool enough before the cheesecake is put into the refrigerator for 24 hours. A cheesecake should season. The wait is worth it. The flavor ripens and becomes enriched....See MoreCar colors, do you have a favorite...or do you even care?
Comments (172)Along with heated seats and mirrors, my Audi has a heated steering wheel option that I love. Both the seats and steering wheel heat almost instantaneously. Although it's not as cold here in the PNW as some places, I love having a warm steering wheel most days/mornings of the year. I also wanted a back up camera, as I'm always delivering and picking up my grandson from school and those little ones can be hard to see walking behind the car. One feature I hate about this car, though, is they placed the bright headlight indicator on the lower left side of the instrument panel and, even though I'm not particularly short, I cannot see it without raising myself up to peer over the steering wheel. Not the wheel, but the center spoke/bar of the wheel; it hides the indicator. My good fried with a newer Volvo SUV says the same is true in her car...she can't see the indicator without lifting herself up to see over the wheel spoke. It also has the radio controls on the center console, so if you bump it or set your purse on the digital station settings, it whacks everything up and you lose all your presets. It's obvious that men engineer all these vehicles as the features are often not female user friendly....See MoreDo you have a favorite potluck salad?
Comments (52)whew, ok! I felt i had to check back. Lots of yummy ideas here! I am totally bookmarking this because I always like new salad ideas, as i am trying to eat less meat. For these purposes, I was trying to balance out an existing menu that had several rich/heavy dishes with something light and green. So that was why no starches or proteins for this case. I was going to do a Caesar kale salad someone posted above, but opted for the Spinach and Strawberry because it does not have cheese (making it even less rich). I have made it before and it is both pretty and a great, light side dish....See More- last monthlast modified: last month
