Ice cream cones

On sunday, I served some home-made ice cream in bought shells. The shells were really not nice so I thought I'd try making my own - I found a recipe on-line that makes lovely, light and very crisp cones.

That got me thinking about savoury cones. Little ones filled with bites of deliciousness for the apéritif before Christmas - or any drinks occasion for that matter. I was wondering about substituting the sugar for parmesan.

Have any of you tried this?


Here was my sweet recipe.

1 egg

120g sugar

120ml hot water

120g flour

5ml vanilla

60g melted butter

Whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add hot water, vanilla, then the flour and butter. Chill 30 mins.
