OMG, don't think I will ever have the stomach for these
Comments (10)Hey, I've already eaten bugs. And what is a lobster, really, other than a giant bug! When Ashley was in elementary school I chaperoned a trip to the museum where one of the boys bought a cricket encased in a lollipop. Soon the lollipop was gone and it was pretty much down to the cricket, no one on the bus would eat the cricket. I asked the owner if he wasn't going to eat the cricket, he'd paid good money for it. His reply? "You eat the cricket. I dare you.". Well, for anyone who has ever chaperoned a bus full of third graders you know you can never let them see you flinch so I never hesitated. I ate the cricket. Ashley graduated from high school and her friends would still say "Remember when your Mom ate that cricket?" Annie...See MoreStomach "Flu"
Comments (13)Thanks all. Day 8 now. I am better, although still not sleeping much due to headaches. They may be rebound headaches from all the pain medication I've been taking this week. Nausea is gone, and in fact I have an appetite and keep fantasizing about things I never eat, like fast food/Big Macs. I'm keeping to my BRAT diet, however, which is recommended (bananas, rice, apples or applesauce, toast) with a bit of probiotic yogurt thrown in. Am sipping water all day and had a gatorade or two (but I really hate the stuff--reminds me of the colonoscopy a few years ago). I saw on the news last night--NBC, I think--that the outbreak of stomach "flu" is now widespread across the country, coupled with the seasonal flu. I was actually told by my doctor that it is better not to come in for fear of getting the seasonal flu on top of this one. What a year!...See MoreHELP- How Do You Disinfect After Stomach Flu/Virus- BAD!
Comments (32)I had C-diff years ago. In my case the antibiotics I was taking killed the "good" bacteria in my gut and the "bad bacteria" (C-diff) grew in my intestines instead. I understand some people have a really hard time getting their gut back to normal. I think must stomach bugs are some type of Noro virus. I don't think a mask would help http://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/about/overview.html OP-I hope your family is all better...See Moresick to my stomach about wire fraud
Comments (65)Just catching up with this saga. Very happy you got most of the money back. I'm really surprised your agent didn't catch this. Even 10 years ago when I worked as a agent I kept a list of the wiring instructions for each title company in town. Title companies refused to email directions. It was always a fax or a call. We were also under strict instructions from the broker to have buyers verify the instructions with the title companies via a call. My daughter and son-in-law closed on their first house a few weeks ago. I stayed out of it unless they asked for my advice (and they did), with ONE exception. I told them both to verify the account number with the title company via a call. Scammers will insert themselves into an email thread and send the directions with a different account number. Sounds like what happened here. Just super happy for you that it worked out. Good luck on the reno....See More- last monthlast modified: last month
