Comments (5)Perhaps try asking at the place of purchase about it, or googling? Doesn't seem to be anyone on here right now with any experience with it....See MoreAnyone in Austin, TX know how to micrograft? I have a finger lime
Comments (0)Yes, an Australian Finger Lime. Also, some grapefruit seedlings. I'd like to micrograft one onto the other. As I have five grapefruit seedlings that means five finger lime plants (if they take . . ..) so anyone who can do micrografting In AUSTIN gets three (Or, if you have some citrus seedlings of your own, more.) The reason for the micrografting is that the little Finger Lime is fairly small as i grew it from a seed. I had a bigger one but (despite wrapping and moving the pot) it froze. so if any one is passing through Austin, or lives here, and wants a Finger Lime and can micrograft let me know. I'm going for grapefruit seedlings because, who knows, I might get a big old fingerlime out of the deal. thanks folks....See MoreInfo on Logees Red Finger Lime
Comments (6)Laura - when your bloods start producing you will absolutely crave more (. My fruit actually were the size of small grapefruit this year when I harvested them - I actually kept them on the tree as long as possible, and the last one actually dropped off on its own. Super sweet and fruity. I've thought about getting a finger lime, but just no more room, especially with my grafting - i've got quite a few seedlings for rootstock taking up room. If the Australian finger lime takes after the normal lime, you should get fruits quickly no matter what (regular limes fruit from seedlings 3-5 years). And I assume the red is a mature scion graft, so I'd expect blooms within 2 years given good care (and certainly possible within 1)....See MoreFinger lime
Comments (4)The red from logee's is a nice looking little plant, I got one a few weeks ago and it was looking good until some critter came and tore it out of its pot :( I have no idea how long its roots were exposed to the air other than a spider had completely covered them in webs (so clearly a while). I was out of town this weekend and had the BF taking care of the plants, apparently he didn't notice that it was out of its pot. I have washed off the roots and replanted. Fingers crossed I won't half to replace it. http://www.logees.com/red-finger-lime-citrus-australasica-sanguinea.html...See More- 4 months ago
