Do any of you use glycerin in your baking?

I don't normally use this when I cook, but it seems like a very useful ingredient to use (especially in baking). It is said to improve texture and help keep foods moist longer. It doesn't appear to add anything in terms of flavor, but it seems it will prevent baked goods from going stale for a while.
