WARNING to mail order customers: the USPS has gone off its rocker!
Comments (2)Have had a similar experience. The post office told me the same thing too. They dont have assigned drivers to my area, so they have different temporary drivers come by. They have been either dropping off my package at the wrong house and delivery mail in the wrong mailboxes. I have got to meet new neighbors and make friends in the neighborhood, cause we keep on have to return / pick up mail from each other. The only plus point or that could be negative...but our neighbors are nice. Cooks....See MoreDelivery messages UPS USPS Fedex
Comments (17)I would expect it to be delivered tomorrow. At Christmas time the USPS girl and I had a big laugh. The package was not delivered the previous day because there were no numbers on my house. None of the houses on my street have numbers on them because our numbers are on the mailbox which is normal in this area. In the case of my house you can not see more than the two corners of my house from the street....See MoreNot so helpful USPS tracking.
Comments (20)I also had problems w/USPS & another carrier. One package I was waiting for it to be delivered & all the notifications says was as we all know it's in transit, (that took days saying same thing), than arrived different locations, next its out for delivery expected to arrive by 8pm. All day I've waited at home, checking up on the status & see if there's any updates. I even called the carrier & received nothing but their automated answering machine stating they're in this big meeting call back in an hour, so I did & still same message. Next email I received was my package was going to be delivered another day due to circumstances. Before you know it by 7pm another email says it was delivered knowing it wasn't. So email them about this problem, they responded their sorry this n that. Yes, I finally gotten my package delivered & our mail lady says there were 25 other cases....See MoreAmazon claims that USPS delivered package that I never received
Comments (71)The USPS has been handicapped by too much politicization (especially in the last 4 years), underfunding, and an employee union that hinders change, cost rationalization moves and flexibility. And poor management. Like other government-related services (yes, I know it's quasi-independent), you get what you pay for and don't get what you don't pay for. I'd bet that the union would come to the table and negotiate better terms on a win-win basis if a commitment were made to boost subsidies. The savings that could be wrung out of thoughtful restructuring of operations plus providing added funds could substantially improve service. It's like far too many governmental and other non-private sector organizations - poorly managed, bloated staff, not the best employee base, limited ability to dismiss or discipline poor performers. For now, USPS seems to have too many unmotivated and underperforming employees who in addition need to deal with organizational problems. Better management, better oversight, could do wonders. It's an essential service that needs to be better. Like potholes in a busy highway, we can't continue to do nothing as problems mount. Oh, and they need to fire all the cheaters and liars, the kind who say they've left a delivery near a gate when everyone can see it's near the front door. ;-)...See More- last year
