Comments (30)I assume posting mastectomy scars would get me banned, so here is a photo showing part of the post-mastectomy breast (boob, if you will) reconstruction process. These syringes of saline were pumped into the tissue expanders that stretched muscle and skin to make a "pocket" of space for a prosthetic implant. I had seven visits with my plastic surgeon, once a week for seven weeks, to expand my tissues enough to accept my selected implant size....See More

6 months agolast modified: 6 months agoOrchidrain, it was so beautiful. The artist is local and also is a potter. She made the ’corn’ pieces around the border, had someone craft the frame, and it was all assembled onsite. She incorporates a dress in every quilt she makes. This one had several plus so many other meaningful things. I plan to go visit her working studio in a local arts center.
