Would you say something to restaurant mgmt?

I know that it’s best not to think about what goes on in restaurant kitchens, but I’ve regularly observed things in plain sight over the years at two of our go-to places that I find off-putting.

The first is a matter of policy at a casual steak house. After taking our orders, if we've not ordered appetizers or side salads, the second forks get removed from our place settings. Fine, but then they are placed right back with the clean flatware. They have no idea if we (or other customers) have fidgeted with the forks or whatever; seems to me they should go in the dirty pile, no?

The second relates to an individual server at a small breakfast/lunch place. Whenever she brings out our waters or sodas, she’s grabbing the cups overhand. In other words palm down with all five fingers all over the rims we’ll be drinking from. 🤢

The forks, unless you’re paying attention or sitting near the server station, you might not notice. But the cup palmer, surely countless people have noticed over the years?

How would you handle these, if at all? My thought was to send them friendly, unsigned notes.
