I called Hughes, I am paying for 200mb of downloads and uploads with no charges during 2am and 7am. My upload speed is supposed to be 700. I did a test and it averaged 450. I'm sorry, but something doesn't sound right here. Could it be that Hughes doesn't know what they are talking about regarding the plan you are paying for. See the link below. Do you maybe have the Power 200 plan? If so you are paying for 'up to' 2 Mbps Download and 'up to'300 Kbps Upload I wonder if that 700 you are 'supposed to be getting is actually for the upload between 2Am to 7 AM. He did a test and it shows that I have damage to the cables coming into my house. I will have to have them check on this later and pay their fee but we are experiencing an ice storm right now and I need to get through that. The ice storm itself would most probably slow your speed, as would a storm of any kind. There 'could' even be ice build up on the dish and other outside equipment slowing your speed. I wouldn't be lining up a $125 repairman anytime soon. I'd wait and see what you get on a clear day, and also what you get on a clear night. I also would not count on a $125 repair call even improving your speed. Although I can still get the list of bookmarks over to the left in FF, I have put all of them up on the Bookmarks Toolbar, where I have them organized under several headings, such as Books, Crafts, Financial, Media, Shopping, and so on. When I click on any of these, I get a drop-down menu, and on some of the menus, I have sub-headings; for instance, under Crafts, I have a folder called "buying," which contains sites where I buy fabrics or paint and other things online, and other folders for patterns, message boards, magazines, tips, and videos. You get the idea. When you want to create a new bookmark, the "Bookmark this page," box that comes up offers as the first location to put the new one, "Bookmarks Menu," but you can click on the quotation-like mark just to the right of that and it will change to "Bookmarks Toolbar." Then click on the "V" over to the right so you can see all the items on your Bookmarks toolbar and choose one of them to put the new one into. So that I can cram more items onto the toolbar, I make 2 or 3 letter abbreviations for their names, and I even have one heading for all the different sites that I use the most often. On your computer...... Start button > Run > type in the word explorer What opens is your tree. Look or Scroll down to My Computer and click on that. Now you will see your drive letters..... A (your floppy if you have one) C (your hard drive) D (your CD or DVD drive) You probably see a bunch of other stuff, but don't worry about those. Click on C and it will open to everything on your hard drive in a-b-c order. Click on Documents and Settings. Click on your name. Click on Favorites. You are now in your Favorites folder. But initially, I wrote for Susan, who is backing up her Favorites to disk. She will not need to go to the Start button because she has to access the Favorites folder from her CD/DVD burner program. If you are backing up also, you will access by the same steps - that is without going through the Start button, without going through Accessories, and without going through Explorer. I need to know what the rest of you are trying to do in order to direct you. Also, the instructions are written for WindowsXP. If you are running Windows98 or other operating system, please inform. Here's a chilled soup for hot Summer days that's really healthful, too. I've been making it for many years now and just made it again last night to go with our Lentil Salad and Caprese. Chilled Creamy Zucchini Soup Serves 6 1/4 lb. shallots, thinly sliced crosswise (about 1 cup) 2 TBS olive oil 1 1/2 -pounds zucchini (3-4 medium), cut into small chunks (I don't peel mine, but you can if you prefer) 1 green bell pepper, seeded, cored and cut into smallish pieces 2 strips fresh lemon zest ( (2"x 1 1/2") 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper (white, preferred) 3 cups chicken broth 2 cups water 1 cup loosely packed fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves 1 TBS finely chopped fresh dill 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Directions: In a 4-quart heavy saucepan, sauté shallots in olive oil over low heat, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add zucchini, bell pepper, zest, salt, and pepper. Raise heat to medium. Stir occasionally until zucchini is softened, about 5 minutes. Add broth and water. Bring to a simmer again and cook until zucchini is tender, about 3-5 minutes more. Allow zucchini mixture to cool to just warm. Add parsley and dill and puree in a blender, IN BATCHES, until smooth. Do not try and puree it while it's still hot! Allow to chill in refrigerator until cold. Before serving, whisk in yogurt. Ladle into chilled soup bowls. Top with a dollop of yogurt and sprinkle on a bit of dill. * By using Greek yogurt, you are ramping up the good protein in this soup, while keeping the calories and (bad) fat down. And, it really doesn't taste like zucchini.
