Even if they aren't strangers, I wonder how you can ever be sure that a member of the group hasn't had their computer compromised...which might make your computer vulnerable. Based only on whats been posted, this has so many bad possibilities it staggers the imagination.

welcome :) lol.. i LIKE canada but i was born here so i guess i'm used to the snow. we're actually considering a move 10 hours north of where we are now (for job opportunities.. not the snow!) right now, we're about an hour and half from toronto. i saw your pictures from your other post. beautiful stuff!! i really loved the pieces of wood. i've never seen anything like that before. as far as glass cutting, i just use the running pliers and a ruler if i need squares and hope for the best. i don't use a lot of squares though.. usually just random shapes.

For those here that are bothered by the methodology the police used, what about it is of concern? As I said earlier I almost reflexively look for ways that new technologies can be intrusive and infringe on privacy or rights. Even before the early days of of the Internet, I read the newsgroup comp.risks, and learned to look more deeply and carefully at the new risks of new technologies, not just the shiny new whiz-bang features. For example I don't do Facebook or even have a smartphone. I browse with ads, and cookies, and most scripts disabled, I might be considered by some only a few steps away from being a tin-foil-hat-wearing wild-eyed conspiracy theorist, but I don't see the risks in the police using DNA data to identify a perpetrator. It wouldn't aid unscrupulous cops trying to frame someone, in that case they already know who they are trying to frame, and the database can't "print out" DNA samples for them to plant. I am wary of DNA databases, and have no plans to submit a sample but for the reasons of health insurers eventually using the info to deny coverage proactively for someone with a genetic disposition for some expensive to treat condition.

Here is an update on my exotic fruit trees in case it can help you to choose: My soursop, sugar apple and starfruit finally went dormant. They lose all their leaves and I hope that it doesn’t mean that they are dying. Oh no! My guava trees are the thirstiest trees even in winter! They are only happy when I water them every other day! The jaboticaba doesn’t seem to understand that he’s in the middle of winter in Canada because he’s still growing without any leaves drop. I am amazed! Litchi, longan, avocado, mango and sapodilla stop growing bur they seem alright Oh the jackfruit really doesn’t like my temperature. Maybe it’s colder than what he likes (45 to 50 during the night) Jan, I hope that you will love your new aerogarden as much as I love mine! My lettuce grows very fast in there!
