Halloween and Christmas Decor, excited for this years holidays!
Comments (11)This Forum really gets going in the Fall, right now just a few of us "die hards" keep posting and making our own fun when no holidays. LOL. A lot of the gals here do beautiful table setting decor, and post photos to keep us from going into withdrawal. And when we find some holiday stuff shopping (Goodwill, thrift stores, yard sales, or ANY store) then MORE photos to share. I was never into dishes but the Enablers here had me out buying a few things and trying my hand at small table settings. I'll try anything for my "invisible friends", LOL. In fact they are the ones who got me decorating for all the holidays. I'd only done Christmas and a little Thanksgiving stuff before. Since you do the trees for your family, and so many in your own home, you belong with us. ;o) Wait till you see what our gal, Christmascandy, does. She lives up to her name! Many of us love over the top decorating. Seeing pictures and sharing ideas is what brought us together, but we're more like a family. So many caring, generous, sweet people on this Forum. If you feel like it, tell us a bit about yourself. Its nice meeting new decorating friends and getting to know them. hugs, Karen...See MoreMy limited Halloween Decorating
Comments (10)Thank you Candy :). Karen: TY. Mickey is doing very well considering. It's been 3 weeks today and he's getting a bit grumpy but still holding steady. I didn't give him one of the Kong toys as I know he'd make the biggest mess you can imagine. lol Instead I bought him one of those roll around toys you put treats in and they have to work to get them out. He really likes it and doesn't really overwork himself to get them out like I figured he would. He plays with it for a bit, then gets tired and goes to sleep. He's gotton down a good routine now (out of crate, get leash on , get big drinks, go outside to business, come back in , shop toy box - pick toy of choice, and back to crate, yell for cookie - take nap). He does better if we're not in the room with him so I've resorted to living in other parts of the house. It tears me up that he's in the living room alone, but I tried that and he got sooo worked up wanting out that no more of that. :( He goes back on the 14th for the last shots and we do this all over again for at least 4 more weeks and then hopefully!! he's healthy and free from jail on Nov 12th. Thank you for asking about him :)....See MoreHalloween Party Ideas for 3-4 year olds
Comments (3)Hi Pam, A little late for Halloween, but here is an easy game. It is a variation of drop the clothes pin in the bottle. You take Dum dum suckers, wrap a piece of kleenex over the top, tie just under sucker head with orange or black ribbon, use a marker to make "eyes" on your dum dum ghosts, then drop into a pumpkin or a witches cauldron. Another one is to tie marshmallows to strings, hang at appropriate heights. Then they have to eat the marshmallows off the strings with their hands behind their backs. Can also use donuts or apples too. Yet another. Give each child a piece of paper with the shape of a pumpkin drawn on it, magazine and a crayon. They must place the paper on the magazine, place magazine on their head and then draw a "face" on the jack o lantern while it is on their heads! Have fun, Kathy G in MI...See MorePot pourri of Halloween Decor
Comments (12)Candy, I love your mantel with the fall leaves and berries. The plate caught my eye but I really like the raven up there on top of the candlestick. How funny! The haunted house is of course unique. You must have had great fun using it all these years. And the green light is a great idea! Magpie, jot down ANOTHER idea for next year--build a haunted house. - Magpie...See More
