Summer festival season is ramping up...😃

Chevies, as most vehicles, need to be replaced every 10, 20 years or so. Don't know their price in '91, but in '91 I bought 300 shares of one of my best stocks at $26.00 each, $7,800. total. They split, 2 for 1, three times, my 300 shares becoming 600, then 1,200, to currently 2,400 shares. The cost per share thus went from $26.00 to $13.00, then $6,50 and now $3.25. Last year the price per share went to about $60.00, a few months ago it was about $44.00 and recently about $49.00. Quite a number of quality companies have increased the dividend payments annually for 5, 10, 20 and 30 years, a fairly few even longer. This one has done so for upwards of 30 years. Two years ago a memorable time appeared: their quarterly dividend cheques added in pne year to the $7,800. original price paid. But let's not forget: that $7,800 would have bought a great deal more goods and services (even Chevy trucks - or investments) than they're able to provide today! ole (frugal) joyfuelled
