I don't drink coffee, but I have bought Coffee Bean Blast ice cream from Trader Joe's, but haven't seen it recently and was worried that it may have been discontinued.

Other items that I loved have been discontinued, such as Shasta die grapefruit soda - none of the other diet grapefruit sodas are as good.

Incidentally, I did drink coffee when I was in Italy and also when I was on Maui, but the coffee in those places is much better than what I've had elsewhere.

Im still trying to find a substitute for Redken #6thickening gel! Its awful when a favorite is discontinued. Ask Jo about her chocolate graham crackers.

My go-to morning coffee is Starbucks I talian Roast. Maybe give that a try? A little more expensive, but not much.

Not sure what it scores on the darkness scale but this is what I drink. It’s 100% Arabica. Pilon Gourmet Espresso.

See grass me too! For me it is VO 5 Milk Moisturizer Conditioner. That made my hair soft and grow quickly.

Can't help with the coffee beans but I can HIGHLY recommend Cometeer frozen gourmet coffees. No comparison outside a coffee shop!! I know this pain from the apply and peel facial masks of the 70s , Personal Touch razors , May Bouquet air freshener from Bath and Body Works...I miss them weekly. I shake my head just wondering about them.

Sometimes products change without getting discontinued. A specific coffee we'd been getting from a local roaster unexpectedly had a flavor change. I asked about it and was told that the boss found a different source for the green beans that he liked better for that particular product. I thought - "Great! Glad he likes it!" We tried a few others and found a replacement coffee at a competing store that we liked even better.

Sometimes a forced change has an unexpectedly better outcome than anticipated.

A few things come to mind. Trader Joe’s Just Sauce Turkey Bolognese. It was frozen and nice to grab for a back up meal. Also at Trader’s, the refrigerated pea soup.

Bath and Body Cranberry Joy diffuser. DH put it in a hall in one of his rental. Everyone complimented the aroma.

Chisue, yours is of course very disappointing as it is a daily stable.

This is my latest disappearing product. Walmart & grocery stores no longer carry them. Dollar Tree has them occasionally.

Can't recommend a dark roast coffee, since I prefer organic medium roast, but I can tell you that I store whole bean coffee in the freezer and grind enough for 4-5 days and also store that in the freezer in a glass jar.

And I recall Herbal Essence as kind of a harsh shampoo, but it smelled SO good!

I do have this and it reminds me a lot of the scent of Herbal Essence...

So many faved products have vanished over the years, I can't even count. I always find something comparable or better, tho. Definitely a first world problem 😄

The Canadian Girl Guide cookies were never the same after they changed manufacturers. I also miss Voortman's gingerbread men cookies.

Traders is notorious for discontinuing favorite items or making them seasonal. Sometimes the latter makes no sense at all.

To be fair, that can be a problem at the supplier's end, not the retailer - especially these days.

I just hope TJ's never discontinues their organic Corn Dippers 😀

Habitant was bought out and the new owners stopped making Chow Chow (green tomato ketchup) without warning. It used to be a staple, especially at Christmas time - so good on touritiere.

I used Estee Lauder Fresh & Natural foundation for 40 years. Then I began to notice that it was often out of stock so I would order six bottles at a time. Sure enough it was eliminated completely. Ive yet to find another foundation I like as much. Why mess with perfect .

I remember Herbal Essence from college. Everyone adored it except a lot of girls ended up with a rash. Smelled heavenly so you mixed it with something like baby shampoo. There is a German body wash and shampoo that smells similar. I would have to look up the name in the upstairs bathroom.

Our dark roast arabica is French Roast from Costco.

ded -- I tried Starbucks many years ago and never went back. I thought it might be the 'flavor' ingredient, meant to stand up to all the cream and sugar in their popular 'hot ice cream' drinks. Do people order Starbucks 'straight up'?

Oh, here's something that should be discontinued: L'Oreal Age Perfect lipliner. It's good, and I like it better than their 'ordinary' liner, but guess what? You can't advance the product. There's no way to twist the plastic as you do with a mechanical pencil or their ordinary lipliner. I see the same complaints online. Nobody test-marketed this?

One of our chain groceries has my favorite Campbell's Yes! soups on clearance. Must be the beginning of the end for those. But of course!

chisue, you are supposed to sharpen it. Yeah, it's plastic but it's supposed to be sharpened with a pencil sharpener. Looks like it is discontinued though. I did a search of the product and I have seen these type of pencils that people gripe about that they cannot advance them. I guess since it's made of plastic and not wood, it throws people off. But the plastic is totally sharpenable(is that a word?).

My DH makes the coffee at about 3am, I get up after 7. Good thing I am not a coffee connaisseur.

Hey, dedtired, I reorganized my bathroom cabinets yesterday and found a small bottle of the Redken! About half-full, I must have been rationing it when it was discontinued. I may as well use it up!

arkansas girl -- Well..duh. At least I'm not the only person who didn't know this was 'a pencil'. Now I have 'the point' but my sharpener is dull. doesn't look like there's nearly as much of the product as is in their regular lip liner. To keep or to return...a distraction from real world problems.

Cosmetics, including hair products, are the worst. I spend way too much $$ trying to find something new I like to replace stuff that’s been discontinued. Ever since Estée Lauder has been buying up every company they possibly can, it’s been worse (Bobbi Brown, Aveda, and who knows who else). Either they discontinue it or reformulate it so one has to be careful whenever your product suddenly shows up with a new label. I now have a hodge podge of brands in my drawer that I do like. For now.

The most recent tho was my favorite deodorant, Vanicream. Turns out, the company (a Canadian compny) has a supply issue with one of the ingredients so they do plan to make it again. Fingers crossed, and fortunately I had a backup tube.

Has anyone tried one of the replication companies? I'd love to try Fiamma perfume again. Borghese (Revlon) introduced it in the 1960's. I hung on to a box of the bath powder, rationing it for years. It's the only scent anyone ever commented on when I used it.

I didn't know Este Lauder bought Bobbi Brown. But I now buy from her new company, Jones Road.

I went to Trader Joe's today for sea bass and found they had Cold Brew coffee again! I'm pretty sure the price is the same but the jar is half the old size.

Lily, I like some of the Jones Road products too. I switched to their mascara and stick blush and one of the lippie sticks, but can’t fall in love with the Miracle Balm.

I forgot EL also bought Jo Malone. Now the brand is constantly changing fragrances and bringing in something new. If you like something, better buy a case while you can.

Dedtired..the best replacement I have found for Redkin 6 is Paul Mitchell Extra Body Thickening Lotion. Every other shampoo, I add a bit of Alterna Caviar CC cream…that is a good product for soft fullness. Hard to find.

The PM is not quiet as thick…I just use an extra squirt. I actually like it better…it is lighter and cleaner. I take mine with me to the hairdresser so she doesn’t use other products that makes my hair feel gummy.

Dedtired, I’ve been wearing Amber and Lavender for years. I also like Wood Sage and Sea Salt ok and recently found another one I like but can’t recall the name right now. Amber and Lavender was discontinued for a while, but is now back as part of their ’archive’ but only in one size of cologne. I guess I should be grateful I can still get that but I did enjoy using the shower gel now and then.

Every time I turn around, something I enjoy using and is a staple in our house, is being discontinued or changed to the point of it's no longer any good. This has become a running joke in my emails with my sister. She and I commiserate our losses.

I still miss the old Dial a Lash Mascara from many years ago. I have never found an equal replacement. L'Oreal used to have a different lipstick that had NO SCENT, I think it was called Colour Supreme. It was so much better than Colour Rich with its nasty vanilla-ish scent that many people complain about. I have bought so many mascaras and lipsticks over the years that I have not liked, trying to find an OK replacement. Then no sooner do I find an OK replacement then the next time I go to buy it, it will be no longer available! UGH! If I find a makeup that I love, it will be discontinued as sure as I am sitting here! This has turned me into somewhat of a hoarder of certain products. BUT, some things, you really cannot buy too far in advance or they will go bad. I have had this happen a few times.

Back when I wore makeup, which was was way before 2010, I loved Revlon Color Stay. It came in a tube with I think five different shades. It was waterproof and a sunscreen. They, of course, got rid of tit. I have not bothered with makeup since.

I don't use cosmetics, so can't commiserate about those. But a couple of years ago I found a really delicious flavored bubbly water that I loved. Spindrift Blackberry. It's unsweetened (as are all their waters) and flavored with real fruit juice. Under 10 calories and I like almost all their flavors. But I LOVED the blackberry. Then I couldn't find it and finally wrote to the company - they discontinued it. On their social media, people were clamoring for it to come back; they said maybe someday. They continued to introduce new flavors. I didn't understand that strategy when there was obviously a strong market for blackberry.

The other day (I guess because I'd written to them a couple of years ago about this) I got an email coupon offer from them and lo and behold they have Blackberry again! I usually purchase it at Target, but they didn't have Blackberry. I looked at Spindrift website and they said it is a limited production and when it's gone, it's gone and apparently only available on their website. So I ordered 4 cases (free shipping). I hope it's as good as I remember, lol!

When I was out in San Diego one of the grocery's had store brand grapefruit that I liked - maybe it was Ralph's, but it could have been Food Basket, Big Bear, Von's, or Lucky.
