The city keeps doing these massive river clean up projects...that fail. We drove over to look at this one.....(the trees grow back, the river overflows the banks.....)

Crossing into Cape Breton Island.

Dad was a mechanic. He built a car in the 60’s. He made the body of wood. It was not a comfortable ride, but we kids loved it. He took us for rides around the decommissioned army base in town, Camp Stoneman.

Dad took it to the DMV to get it registered and they argued with him about it. They said it was just a cart. Then he took a couple of the guys for a ride and they realized it had POWER. He got his registration.

Dean Village, Scotland

Entrance to the parking garage next to our hotel in central Florence. Once we parked our car there, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted and did not use the car again until we left to go to Siena. We had rented the car in Rome.

The year we drove out to Montana. We also stopped several other places (Rocky Mt National Park, and other spots along the way). This was the second time we drove the Bear Tooth Highway. If you've never done it, highy recommend, but it takes all day to do a round-trip from Bozeman and back.
