caflowerluver, I love Santa Cruz and tried to get a job there when I had been in San Francisco for less than a year. My housemate in Venice (whom I had lived with in San Francisco) grew artichokes and our back yard, and they ended up taking up quite a bit of space. I did love the artichokes, however, and I also love artichoke stems. Often by the time they reach the store, the stems have been removed. Better for me to buy them at farmers' markets.

What are they drinking? Whiskey neat? 😁 The gal on the far left does look disconnected and her smile in none too sincere. Second from the left? She's the partyer. Had on hip, arm draped over the other gal's shoulder. The center lady with the corsage looks un-comfortable. Quite serious looking. 4th from the left is the gal everyone likes. She is connected to two others and she looks comfortable and has a genuine smile. The far right gal just wants to get this photo over. Closed body language. These office type photos are fascinating. Maybe we should have a workplace theme for Yours/Mine. The older the photo the better.

Annie's photo reminded me of this baby blanket I made for a friend more than a dozen years ago. DH says it reminds him of Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night.
