Can I get a bottom freezer french door refrigerator
Comments (11)We have a Sears Treo French door and like it pretty well. We've had it about a year with no problems. It has water through the door. There are a couple things we don't like. Although a glass fits okay under the water spigot I can't use a pitcher because the recess is too shallow. Also when the ice bin gets full ice falls out when we pull the rack open. I also like the way the Samsung doors close more positively than the Sears. Although there is an alarm that tells you if the door is ajar I just like the door to close when I nudge it rather than having to push it shut. We are going to be building a new home hopefully this fall and at present I'm planning to have the Samsung French door with ice and water through the door. I'm buying a basic Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator in white to place next to my upright Whirlpool white freezer in the utility/hobby room. That way I'll have enough refrigerator space for all my veggies, sauces, condiments etc. I love to cook and really need a walk-in but can't afford it. Hope this helps you a bit. If you don't mind the couple inconveniences I mentioned go with the Sears Treo. I think ours was around $1600....See MoreCondiments
Comments (29)I have two refrigerators and the doors are stuffed with mostly condiments. I have several hot sauces, just don't use them often. I haven't tried many of the more exotic condiments. I love mayo, Maille Dijon mustard and a spicy German Mustard I get at a restaurant, which I've not been able to find at the store. I also like other types of mustard, just not as well. I don't like chile sauce or catsup except on rare ocassions on french fries. I only like homemade chutneys. Love horseradish. I use a lot of soy, like Worcestershire, sesame oil, orange blossom honey and all kinds of vinegars. I have a small bottle of Pickapeppa sauce which has never been opened because I don't know what to use it for. Maybe someone can enlighten me....See Morerefrigerator not cooling
Comments (20)Lizbeth, I'd feel confident about most of those things. Horseradish is packed with vinegar, so it should be fine. The pickles and capers also. Lots of people don't even refrigerate catsup, although I do because I've had catsup ferment, so it will go bad eventually if left out. Mustard is fine, and I never used to even refrigerate soy sauce until I read the label! I don't know about the tabasco or the worchestershire, they are something I use little of and I do keep them refrigerated, the same with the Italian Dressing. Jam is usually fine, but it's preserved with copious amounts of sugar. The all fruit stuff will spoil faster and I think the quality of that is probably going to suffer so although it may be safe, it probably just won't be very good. Comments (21)We have a lazy susan in the middle of the table. On the rare occasion that we have company I may move it, depending on the meal & how I decide to set the table. A napkin holder and our salt & peppermill set stay there. The only problem is that all sorts of other stuff tends to get stuck on the lazy susan as well. But a lack of neatness is a problem through the whole house for us. We're getting better at picking up after ourselves, but still have room for improvement. We also keep kosher salt and a pepper mill at the stove. The problem there is that the peppermill at the stove doesn't work real well, so when we want a lot of pepper in the kitchen the table pepper mill gets shanghaid. One of these years I'll buy another decent pepper mill. The funny thing is the good pepper mill/salt set cost me 25 cents at a garage sale 30 years ago. I paid real money for the lousy one!...See More- 2 years ago
