The BM Classics and Preview fan packs have a color called White Dove. They also have a color called Dove Wing below White Dove on the same color strip. Neither of those fan packs has a color called Dove White. I often refer to the color I painted my cabinets as "White Dove/Dove White, whateever (!) I can't remember which order it should be!" What I don't know is whether another company may use the same name to describe a different color.

I painted my cabinets last summer, my house faces south, so I get lots of sun too. I got samples of White Dove and 3 others that I cannot recall (probably what you mentioned or close). I did not like White Dove on the swatch at all, but I kept an open mind. I painted all 4 on poster boards and looked at them for a few days and did a process of elimination. White Dove won! I LOVE the way my cabinets look.....white without being stark, but no undertones. I used Cabinet Coat paint from BM and they tinted it White Dove for me. Hope that helps....

Ivory white is not Acadia white. Ivory white #925 is in the Classic colors fandeck and Acadia white #OC38 is in the Preview colors fandeck. They are very close in color. jbrodies' kitchen that was recently posted as finished has cabinets in Acadia White. Here's a pic of ours while being remodeled. We're not quite done yet, but you can get an idea of the Ivory White color. The wall next to the cabinet has been primed so it is white in color and you can see the Ivory white next to it has a bit of yellow creaminess to it. My hutch top is walnut so you can see it next to brown. Also, I have a lot of natural light in my kitchen, during the evening the cabs look even more creamy. I think either color would look great with Tropical Brown.

Since our kitchen is black & white, we went with white. Our cabinets are BM Gardenia, a warmer white than yours. Here's a shot or two. You need to figure out how much white you want in your new kitchen. Dove White is pretty bright, as is white subway tile. While I'd be good with that, some may find it too bright. You may be best served by picking up a dozen of each color tile and making a mock-up.
