If water has not been allowed to sit on it whether from a sink or just from cleaning, this could be an issue with the finish. It may not have been mixed properly, or even the door may not have been cleaned of all dust before the finish. I've actually had this in the past with one of my clients kitchens. When it happened, as the Designer supplying the kitchen, I called the company on my clients behalf to request a warranty. The company looked at it & agreed that it was a problem on their end. My client was then provided with new doors to replace the ones that had the problem. Your Contractor/Designer should be fighting for a warranty on your behalf. My cabinet suppliers typically offer around a 10 year warranty for factory defects. It shouldn't matter who supplied it as it's the cabinet company warranty & not a Designer/Contractor warranty.

No stack of drawers? Girls might like a 3-stack of drawers under some shelving. And I don't see any full length rods. It wouldn't have to be very long but might be nice as they get older. Are these closets also for their winter coats/shoes (if you have a winter or rainy season) or are those closeted somewhere else. Will these closets hold/store all of their clothes regardless of season? (assuming you have seasons?) or will they be stored in here in their off season. If the closets are also used for storing off season clothing are they stored in totes so will you need shelving for those or will you store them in drawers and their current season clothes be on open shelving. What about clothing for their various sports or if they are in choir/band and have concert wear. How are they stored? Do they store their sports equipment in their closets. Don't just think of how their clothes are stored today but how are they stored in the off season and throughout the year and with this bigger closets what else is expected to be stored here.

This entryway is absolute perfection. It is rare that the proportions of anything I see on Houzz make me want to weep with joy, but this is the winning ticket. Whatever architect built this house knew what they were doing: The curve of the stairs and reverse curve of the ceiling line, the swoop of the banister and the arch of the wall cut out. Find the perfect carpeting for the stairs. Find one great thing for the niche and then stop. Anything else you will do won't make the space look as nice as it does now. Let the perfection of this balance and proportion be the decoration. Nice clock. Find another place for it in your home.

The hardscaping should go with the house exterior. Some homes are brick on the front, siding on the back, so does the same color hardscaping go with both surfaces? Does the hardscaping in the back meet up with the hardscaping in the front anywhere? Pictures of the front and back would help you get better comments.
