Should a gasket be used top shower wall bracket and sturdiness of wal

1. We installed a new frameless shower door on a newly tiled bathroom. The ceramic tile is wavy and the wall brackets for the shower are metal. My concern is that with the opening and closing of the shower door, the possibility of the tile cracking since the bracket is not flush due to the wavy tile.
Should we add a gasket between the tile and bracket to prevent cracking of the tile?
2. The tiled walls where the brackets should be screwed do not have a stud in that area. Hardy board was used but I wonder it the heavy glass shower door will be stable since it's not supported by studs. Thank you so much. Mona
