ROX it's been a crazy long weekend with snow. People complaining but it's like we used to get it. The past few years have been scarce. I enjoy shoveling and I do it when needed, so I did a couple of times, after the landlord blew it. I also cleaned out the fire hydrant across the street. No one is doing it this year and the snow was up to the top. But it's also blustery with low visibility. They pulled the plows off the roads today. Glad you got your guess even at 3 am, Letters!!! For everyone else.... his days are numbered.

Haha, nope! I was just about to protest this answer, arguing that ’ban’ is not the same as ’band’, but now I realize that it’s rubber banned…..cute. clever. Well Jasdip - I am just so destroyed as I was sure I finally got one of these puzzles. 🥺 My guess was Lop a bit off the bottom. Same meaning as roxsol but different word. And as for FOAS, what the heck? ”quinquennial”?? I had to look that one up. I did know 5 was in the meaning but… ETA - Jasdip, meant to say I’d have never guessed Apollo even without the unintentional fold. ETA again - just saw food’s note - that’s really a stretch for quinquennial….🤣

Yes, mercy. Another one I’m not gonna beat myself up over! My obviously wrong one wss a scene with a big sea. Was trying to make a big scene work to no avail. Grrrr but thanks!

Well, funny enough, that was my ”wrong” guess - change of scene! It was all I could come up with, but decided it coukdn’t be right since I’ve only ever heard change of scenery, too. Huh!
