I know you will hate me for this, but please understand my view point. I am an old house LOVER! I also spent twenty years as a banker trying to talk people into understanding that their future home purchase had to be about love....and practicality. When you are in love with a house you think that the fact that it slapped around the last owners was likely because they were bad owners...they probably deserved it because they didn't do the maintenance you would do to keep it in check. You justify the little issues like the third eye as something minor instead of realizing that a third eye is not actually a normal thing and will require some seriously expensive custom lenses. You turn a wet basement into a couple puddles.... Ten years,..no lets make it five if you get the house....if you find that my pessimistic attitude was totally incorrect and your home turned out to be perfect beyond compare...please tell me I am wrong so I can learn a lesson. But if on the other hand my gazillion years of trying to make people understand that they should buy a home they love....but should equally involve their brains and heart in the equation turns out to make some sense in your potential chris brown like situation.....well be sure to share that valuable experience as well so that others can learn from you...and make light of your experience because "that will never happen to them". I tried to buy the egg and I farm as a young wife ohhhhh so many years ago thinking that a house with walls falling down and a tree growing in the living room just needed our tender and inexperienced care to bring it back.....the bank laughed...thank god!

I agree with Aunt above. I would do a drawers bachelors chest/night stand height on one side of bed and a slimmer drawered chest on the other. This way you can do away with the dresser under window and do a small bench. Hang the curtains close to the ceiling to give the room height. The TV height is too high, don't go past the entry door height and go a bit smaller. Do wall mount plug in lighting with swing arms. This way if the side of bed chests are different heights it won't matter. Put a nice painting on bed wall. lol word of day is height.

THank you for the responses. Very appreciated! Here's another picture of the room to get some sort of idea what our tastes are. I def don't want a cheap feeling or looking door! There is room for french doors and that's definitely a consideration. I'm a bit overwhelmed for some reason on doors! We literally have no doors in the apt! We removed them all when we started the renovations. Leaning towards single panel doors but again have not made any choices yet. A question is how tall to make the closet doors. Ceiling height i a little over 8 feet. The mirrored bi-folds that we removed were floor to ceiling. We have the same set up in the hallway closet that we redid and that also has no doors! For the hallway, I think bifolds make best sense as I don't really like sliding doors and the hallway is only 38" wide. I've attached a picture of the messy unfinished hall closet! That's about 7 feet x 28" deep. Also need a bedroom door, hall bathroom door, master bathroom door (in another thread) The apartment master bedroom closet and hallway closet seemed to have been designed for floor to ceiling bi folds..Ceiling height 98" I am wondering if it will look a little nicer to build down a few inches for these closets and am searching for ideas. Those Pax wardrobes are fabulous storage options. I'd go with white, for sure. The Pax didn't work in our bedroom but I think it's partly because they were at the entrance of the room. Surrounding the window as you have it in your layout would work heaps better. They look great in Lyfia's pics. I'm also short and feel claustrophobic with tall furniture so that's my bias.
