Comments (4)You can usually find the original paint colors somewhere on a house - buried under all the layers. Would LOVE to know what that beauty looked like when new. Not that you would have to replicate it exactly .... although it could be quite spectacular. Comments (15)Golly!! The exterior of the house is fine.......it's the landscape that needs help. Serious help! You need to rip everything out and start over. There is nothing there worth saving. Your garden could/should be a showplace that compliments and enhances your charming home. Now it is just a distraction and excuse me for saying, a bit of an eyesore. A good landscape design for that house and property is well beyond what an online forum can provide. You need to hire a local professional. Design services are a relatively modest investment. It is the actual implementation of the design where costs start to mount - clearing and site prep, hardscaping, planting, etc. All somewhat labor intensive and labor is the primary cost. If you are comfortable or familiar with the process, you can do a lot of the labor yourself. Or if not, hire it done, in phases if costs are a concern. But don't skimp on that process.
