Venice and Geneva

Sueb20
last month

DH and I are going to Venice, then Geneva, in May. We have been to both places before -- but around 8-10 years ago, with kids. This time, no kids! We will have about 4 days in each location, not including travel days.

I know the best thing to do in Venice is to simply walk and wander and get lost. One thing we didn't do last time, which we plan to do this time, is visit Murano and Burano. Any other hidden gems that anyone can recommend? Restaurants?

Same for Geneva. We will have one day trip to the mountains and otherwise will mostly be wandering around the city. Any restaurants to recommend? I don't remember as much about Geneva, probably because it was a more whirlwind trip with several stops in Switzerland.

I have started trying to think about what to pack when the weather is going to range from 50 to 70 degrees... but I need to start thinking about an itinerary too!
