Good for you, you did not accept that and they are getting redone. If done correctly...you should (or can) get away with NO vertical plastic stops. I try to avoid anything that collects gunk and requires maintenance. I measure and order all my doors and the gap should be 1/8"-1/4". Anything over 1/4" is too much for my satisfaction. 1/2" is totally pathetic. When this gap is done correctly, you will find you do not need a plastic stop to prevent water from leaking out. If you use a sweep on the bottom, that will keep the door in place where it needs to be because it puts some drag onto the threshold. Measuring takes time, a lot of time if done correctly.

Thanks folks! I really appreciate it. I've emailed the glass company to see if its too late in the fabrication to accomodate for not using the strike seal. If they've already made it, all is not lost. Since our door and fixed panel meet at an angle, we can probably simply mount the whole thing slightly inside the center of the curb, which would allow us to tighten any gap they've left for the seal... We;ll see I guess! Frankly I prefer the look of just the clean glass edge, so I hope this can happen. It's a small bath, and that edge is very "in your face", and noticeable, and a big part of the overall design of the bathroom....

You will never match the frame size from the previous, buy all new as frames are not interchangeable and the glass cannot be altered.

Designed properly, a channel is not ever visible. You don’t just glue it on the top. That’s an improper design. If you knew enough to design, measure, and order this correctly, you’d know that, and you’d know where to find what you’re asking for.
